New Place Alert!
Absolute barbecue is a newly built restaurant at Palm beach Galleria ( 3rd floor). A great restaurant in the middle of the city!
A newly opened restaurant and being another BBQ concept in the town its quiet an upgraded and improved better version of other BBQ restaurants in the city.
Place was crowded and busy, but staff was friendly and taking care of the guest even the place was crowded we got our table soon as we entered.
Absolute barbecue is not just about the food, it is about the experience of the meal. Like Someone said "The idea of waiting for something makes it more exciting", the visual experience of seeing your starters delightfully grill to perfection at your table makes for an excellent start to the culinary journey you are about to embark here.
Ambience :-
Beautiful and large seating arrangement. Good lighting.
You will love the ambience of the place and find it quite cozy. The seating is mix of sofas and chairs, but you will be comfortable on both.
Loved the place, it's quite spacious. Live counters and see through kitchen definitely adds up to its beauty. Live Grill is my favorite part!
Service :-
Service is Excellent! Well trained and friendly staff. Special mention to Mr Vijay who was helpful throughout.
The waiters are well behaved and take care about you choices .If you do not like any item served by them, they replace with different one, which specially made for you.
The food is so good and the variety huge that you will end up over eating everytime you go there, no matter no hard you try!
When we visited they did not had the liquor license but hopefully that would change soon.
Food :-
The idea of raw or semi raw food, sizzling over the red coal is definitely appetizing. And especially when there's all you can eat.
The whole concept of AB’s is amazing. Bring the backyard barbeque to the comfort of your table.
I must say the grill experience on the table makes this place very unique. The endless flow of barbecued starters at your table continues till you can’t say stop.
Array of chicken kebabs, chicken tangadi, tandoori mushroom and some paneer grills. Prawns and fish as well....
The Tandoori garlic prawns were actually lip smacking. One round of mocktails is complimentary for guests
Tandoori Chicken Leg, Prawns, Fish Grilled, Tandoori Mushrooms, Panner Tikka, crispy corn, chicken tikka, watermelon roasted (these are the must try.)
Good place for a pure vegetarian also, as they use different barbeque stick and serving plates for veg. & non veg.
For Vegetarians do try their Beet root Kebab ( you will fall in love with it! )
You also try their main course, if any space left in your tummy after starters. Their serving style is unique.
In the main course, chicken biryani was awesome, one of the best I've had.
Main Course was delectable. Don't forget to try their Mutton curry and Chicken Biryani.
Live Counters :
As you enter you find various Live counters (Pizza, Pasta , Kheema, Chaat, Jalebi and Icecream Rolls).
There are a lot of new things you can try here, but one of my personal favorites is Kheema Pav.
The pastas are amazing. So are the pizzas, thin crust with lots of cheese.
Dessert :
Nothing beats the desserts though. The desserts are no doubt the show stealers!
The dessert section was equally tempting...couldn't resist the Angoori Gulab Jamun.
The variety of food on their buffet is good and their dessert counter is quite impressive with a number of Indian and Western desserts, pastries and ice-cream.
There were so many dessert options to choose from. My favorites are Gulab Jamun, Moong Daal Halwa, Celebration pastry and Ice-cream Roll.
A perfect place for a corporate team lunch/dinner. After-all, like a family, a team that eats together, stays together.
Worth every penny for a real connoisseur. For those who are really exploring the whole concept of barbecue, this is your place. And finally if you are a non vegetarian - you so have to be here.
Do visit this place; it is one of the best in the concept of barbeque buffet. A...
Read moreSo I booked AB's for my dad's milestone bday on the first sunday of June. I went to the restaurant a month in advance with my parents to make sure of the booking. Spoke to the manager incharge & whilst he wasnt that warm in addressing he did a decent job in explaining the deets. My initial booking was of 80pax and he said he'll allot 1 side of the restaurant which we were ok with. Post this meeting, I stayed connected with him very consistently as we were very interested in making AB's as our event venue. A little after this, there was a personal emergency which as a family we had to cater to but still I kept him well informed within my capacity but I could not surely confirm at that very moment. He then gives me ONE call which I couldnt attend-totally my fault one of these days. I then call him after 2 days to confirm my booking and he blatantly tells me that he has released the booking to someone else- without any information to me- all I was expecting was a text/whatsapp as I would have made sure to respond even though I had a severe personal exigency.
Fortunately/ unfortunately my dad now was hooked up to the place especially because of the length of the menu he though we could serve our guests and would make them happy. Not wanting my dad to let down, I had to call the manager again requesting him for any workaround to which he replies- aap Monday le lijiye na bday! dude! The birthday is on Sunday, what a lame thing to say... Anyway, somehow managed to talk him to giving us a 50 seater with all the negos around lunch, dinner and days he was selling. He mentioned he had 2 bigger groups the during my slot too. Ok! He then gave me 6-9.30pm after hard negotitation- a spark of kindness - he committed on starting the food exactly at 6 as soon as my guests arrive. We also visited Ab's a day before to recheck if everything will be on time & spoton.
Now, on the day of the event. Cleanliness was on point, the waitstaff seemed ready. But everyhing within seconds became super chaotic. I don't know how they were not able to handle a crowd of 40 pax at a time. I had to multiple times ask for knife, serring up the cake, tables, spoons, lemonade for the early birds etc none of them were catered to on time- all delayed. And no complaints with the waiters tbh as they were trying their best but at a day like this where you say you've got multiple bookings- how can you be so understaffed?
Minutes after the cake cutting, the manager strikes back again. He comes and tells me personally that 'madam, mujhe 120 ka aur booking aaya hain 9pm se toh aapke guest ka manage kar lena' - the nerve. Now, what do I do with that information? Are you trying to tell me that you will ask us to get out before our slot because you have to 'keep rolling for you to have more earning opportunity. I calmly told him, my slot is till 9.30 and I will have my event till then.
When the food started, the waiters were obv. late for serving everything. They kind of forced the veg starters while we all were non veg eaters, I kept telling them too but again..and the mentioned 'the non veg starters' were not ready at the moment. Then chicken was served by 7.30 and prawns made a showstopper entry at the end. By now, everything served was late- even when the guest went for the mains- the rotis/phulkas were to come at the tables which my folks kept waiting on. Imagine the gravy and curry being on the plate without a bread to eat. Lol! Yes, it became funny after a point.
Except the taste and quality of the food, everything else was just such a bummer. The point of being so descriptive is that I had high hopes from a bbq setup like AB's which does a lot of such events I guess. This was my first event for my dad that I was managing single handedly and it went this way.
Please up your game AB's and keep warm, nice people at he front desk who are not just full about the turnover! If you have a grounded manager, all this would have still been avoidable. People change...
Read moreThis is going to be a brief review for absolute barbeque and comparing barbeque nation. I went on 31st December New Year’s evening dinner for 2. I had a booking from Swiggy dine out, which was cancelled and when I called AB’ customer care, they said to go directly. We reached around 7:15 PM. The lady at the reception gave us a very unwelcoming stare, and did give us a table but she said you have to leave by 8:30 PM.
We already had a booking for movie tickets by 9pm. So I felt it was okay but giving a timeline to eat that too at a buffet is very unacceptable. at the same price, I would have gone to Marriott buffet with unlimited timeline to eat.
Barbeque nation don’t have such timeline. The concept of the restaurant is complete a copy of Barbeque nation. AB’s has bigger and wider space.
Now let’s compare BBQ with AB’s.
Ab’s staff has a plastic smile, simply they wants good review but somehow I felt they are not serving with their heart and hospitality lacks here. The barbecue served was really slow. We have to constantly tell them to repeat the prawns and fish. And I personally felt like they were doing favour by bringing the food on the table. Whenever a staff or chef came with the barbeque, they made a loud noise which was very rude. (Since there were many vegetarians around the table. Bringing prawns and fish and asking if this is for the same table was bad.)
They have wide range of live counters. Like chaat, different types of chicken, fish, squid and calamari. But but 👉🏼 the chef is very slow in preparing the dishes, you have to stand as if you are at a wedding with plate, even bringing food at the table I asked multiple time. To my surprise the portion they gave at the live counter in a very less and in small bowl. This is highly disappointing if you’re a hard-core non-vegetarian. The staff will keep on telling you it’s coming but again you have to ask them. by now I completely lost my appetite to eat.
Desserts counter: the open fridge, I saw kids putting their hands and taking out the sweet dishes which was highly unhygienic. The ice cream counter guy is so slow, preparing one chocolate roll. I came twice on the counter and he was still making the ice cream. Desserts completely lack the taste and are bland.
Main course buffet takes too much time to refill. Again we kept on waiting. Mutton curry main dish which they bought on the table was highly salted. In fact, most of the dishes were highly salted. While paying the bill I complaint about this. Stuff made an effort to re-prepare the mutton and bring it back on the table to taste when we were about to leave. But the taste was same. Here I appreciate that efforts.
In all this remember, they gave me a timeline to eat as well. Imagine if the staff and the food serving is slow, how are you going to try a wide range of buffet. Also, most of the tables were not occupied to hype such timeline.
Comparing 👇🏼
While BBQ staff is very friendly and super fast with the grill refilling. They keep on making different types of barbeque flavours and taste according to your preferences. They have different types of bread not just Maida Roti. Buffet has less variety but good in taste.
I went absolute barbeque after checking positive Google reviews. But my experience was disappointing. Table attendant Mr Khan, tried his efforts, but somehow they were failing in hospitality and service. Unlimited food is simply a joke. With such a slow service and timeline to eat. From the live counter to the main course, everything was over salted. I don’t think I will recommend or even...
