Haldiram's — Restaurant in Navi Mumbai

Haldiram outlets in Dehi. Haldiram outlets in Kolkata. Haldiram in Nagpur. I mean I have been waiting for eternity for Haldiram to arrive in Mumbai. And finally it did.

I was super excited to go to their brand new outlet at Inorbit, Vashi. Well built, quite upmarket design. But unfortunately, the good things end here.

The billing counter is manned by people who are slow and instead of swift billing, they keep telling you if you bill for 500, you get 10% discount. Then the food took 38 minutes to arrive. The place was barely half full.

The story only goes worse from here - I was served a wrong Dosa. When I highlighted it, the waiter tells me - Sir, I know it is not Masala Dosa but it is Cheese Sada Dosa, you can eat it no!

Then I had to go and ask for update thrice before I got it. Then they forgot my Coffee.

Now let’s come to taste. Haldiram is known for the super taste. And they have highlighted on their menu that Masala Dosa is their specialty. The masala was half cooked, they forgot Chatni, got it later on. It was tasteless too.

Service, food and overall management is a disaster. My wait for Haldiram in Mumbai will continue. Because I just can’t imagine such shoddy quality by a Haldiram outlet.

Not recommended, at least for few months till they sort out these issues.

Considering the Delhi, chandni chowk experience for numerous times we were so thrilled to see the upcoming Haldiram at Inorbit and Seawoods mall.

One has to order at counter and then food arrived on table. Only 2 counter for taking order.

20th Aug. 2022 08:53 PM - Ordered chole bhature and pav bhaji. order arrived at 08:55 PM. (Too fast as we were still settling down). Chole bhature was cold and oily...Very bad. Pav bhaji was good so decided to order 1 extra pav at 09:04 PM.

09:14 PM - As only 2 counter I had to wait to give order for extra pav for 10 min... ordered Raj kachori as well. Raj kachori arrived at 9:30 PM which was decent enough for taste. But extra pav came at 9:40PM.

Well it was extra pav which arrived around 35 min. after I have decided to give order. Come on ... I was thinking, is it a real Haldiram or a copy of it... unbelievable for me.

I think in a menu where extra pav, bhature, chole is served, self order mechanism will not work. You are not Mc donald with 4 person and 2 digital station for fast order and 4 person for delivery.

I gave my feedback to store staff also and hoping that Haldiram can keep its beloved name which we cherished for long. Haldiram Inorbit has lost atleast this customer forever. May be Haldiram can learn from Bikanerwala.

Looking forward for Haldiram's to keep this feedback as a improvement rather than criticism to not to destroy the reputation...

Heard about the newly opened Haldiram outlet in Inorbit, Vashi and it gave a big smile that I will have Raj Kachori, Chole Bhature and what not. As soon I told my friends about the same, we made a plan to visit it. It was raining heavily but our hunger had the priority. We reached there through local train and without roaming around we reached the outlet on 2nd floor of Inorbit Mall, Vashi. We had to wait for 15 mins as there was numbering system for getting a table. We got our seat and the table number. System is good as u need to tell your table number during payment and ordering at counter and your food will be served at the table. I saw Chole Bhature on other tables and was disappointed looking at the textures but still hope that it will be good. We got pav bhaji at first, looked delicious and smelled good too. Pav was soft and bhaji was good. Enjoyed the pav bhaji at super premium price of ₹199 + taxes. After that Chole Bhature came with a bowl of Chole , aloo masala, green chilly masala and mix veg pickle. Bhature were oily and the quality of both bhature and Chole has declined to a non acceptable level. It’s nothing compared to one I used to have in Nagpur. Prices are super premium which is around 229 + taxes. Same happed with Raj Kachori also . Paying super premium price and getting a mediocre food hurts and that too more if...
