You could call yourself True China, Real China, Authentic China, Nothing But China or even go so far as to call your real estate "Mainland" China but nothing can take away the Indianness from you. Far too many restaurants have Indianized Chinese/Oriental cuisine and dished out what is nothing more than Indian food with a Chinese face. Mainland China, thankfully, stands out in this overcrowded market. No, I don't think this is real, authentic Chinese but this is as good as it gets for our Indian taste buds.
Ambiance(3/5): Mainland China clearly looks like the work of a professional designer. Nicely spaced out furniture that are at just the right height for tall and short alike. The rotating component in the tables makes sharing a less messy affair. I love that they haven't gone overboard with the lights and the music. But there are some tables which seem to be in more neglected zones where it's tough to catch the waiter's eyes; the AC is biased and the lights get too dim for your liking. Also, the enclosures on the right as soon as you enter the restaurant are hotter and more uncomfortable than the tables outside. So, as inviting and private as they may look, try avoiding them.
Food(4/5): I like to rate food on 2 important metrics - Portion To Cost ratio (PCR. Higher is better) and Taste to Cost ratio (TCR - Higher is better) For an upscale place like this, you'd expect the quantities to be on the lower side but Mainland China is surprisingly a little more generous than I thought. The portions are neatly garnished and well presented. What may seem like a little actually turns out to be just the right amount for 2. I'd give a PCR of 3/5. No complaints as far as the food is concerned. It caters to the seafood lover and the poultry lover. From exotic lobsters to the humble fried rice, the taste is delectable. For excellent food, I give a TCR of 4/5
Service(5/5): The service you get here is akin to any 5 star restaurant. Well mannered, courteous and fast.
Value For Money(4/5): By no means is this an affordable daily driver. Mainland China is upscale and is proud about it. Prices are fairly high but the overall experience of eating Chinese food that's as close to authentic as the Indian taste buds allow is definitely something you shouldn't miss.
Recommend? - Yes For me, Mainland China is a festival restaurant. It's a place we visit at least for 2-3 occasions in a year. There are far better places with better experiences and value for money out there. But would I recommend Mainland? Yes, for sure!

Read moreSo visiting this restaurant was my first experience. Mainland China is not an Indian company. I and my friend wanted to try this restaurant so we went over there for dinner. on the entry of the mainland China there will be a one security guard who will be asking you for your name and contact number for the safety issue for both side for the restaurant and for the customer also. For the people who drink you can get drinks also over there. They have good music system also but the song which is played is not hindi songs. They have two separate apartments also for 20 to 25 group of people or 20 to 25 family members. So for the order of food and drink they will give you a mobile tablet in which they have their menu card so from the tablet you have to order food and drinks. They do not have chapati, roti, butter, naan etc. They have seafood also. They have different types of rice facility over there. So we guys don't drink so we did not order any drink. We order 1 Chicken in smoked chilli sauce regular. 1 chicken fried rice regular. 1 excotic vegetables in Chilli basil sauce in a clay pot 1 vegetable and edamame fried rice regular.
