1BHK, Vashi — Restaurant in Navi Mumbai

1BHK is now in Navi Mumbai! A restaurant unlike any other. "The extension of our own homes" - a concept that is well infused in this beautiful and comfortable space by the owners. Inspired by Goan, Portuguese, and French elements, this restaurant has that classic and elegant ambience. Made like a bungalow setup, the space consists of paintings, chairs, sofas, antique tables and wall decors that one tend to setup at their own home. This place is huge and can easily accommodate a huge number. The music here is classic and will lift your mood up. The restaurant have a huge terrace space that holds outer seating. While the inner seating will snuggle you in comfort. The menu is extensive, while the staff is courteous. Here's what I had:

✨Drinks✨ Cosmopolitan - A perfect blend of Vodka, triple sec and cranberry juice. Truly a refreshing and well balanced cocktail. The flavour of cranberry was not overpowering which made it a great drink. Do try this. Mango and Avocado Smoothie - Summer and mangoes, go hand in hand. The king of fruits is blended well with avocado, topped with some nuts and berries. It also had that crunch from caramelized peanut brittles. Sweet, rich and thick in consistency. It was topped with diced mango pieces and some healthy seeds. Highly Recommended 🤘🏻

✨ Appetizers✨ BHK Mezze Platter - Fond of authentic mediterranean traditional recipes? This one is surely for you. Indeed a perfect hummus platter one can have. Trio of HUMMUS served along with tzatziki, mushroom samboushik, falafels and garlic poi. Mushroom samboushik had a crispy outer layer which was super crunchy. While the inner stuffing was creamy and had that umami essence. Trio hummus consisted of classic hummus, pesto hummus and garlicky pepper hummus. All of them were topped with pomegranate seeds and olive oil. Falafels had moist inner stuffing while the outer crust was crispy. Garlic poi was super soft and was freshly made. The moment you have it, you can taste that sharp garlic flavour which goes really well with the hummus. Highly Highly Recommended 🤘🏻

✨Mains✨ Penne Marie Rose, Mushroom, Broccoli Florets - What better than having a pink sauce flavourful pasta? Penne were tossed along with diced button mushrooms and broccoli florets. The cheese and creamy sauce takes the whole dish to a different level. Spicy enough to tickle your taste buds. It was served along with stuffed garlic bread. The bread was fresh and melted in mouth as I had it. Pasta was accurately cooked and the blend of flavours was done to the perfection. The portion size was good enough to satisfy your hunger. Highly Recommended 🤘🏻

✨Dessert✨ No Baked Chocolate Berry Tart - Sweet tooth? Ye nahi khaya toh kya khaya? Like seriously, this is one of the best dessert I have had after a very long time. Surely handcrafted by a experienced pastry chef since the mix of each and every ingredient, created that magic. A magic which you can never forget. The tart had a very nice base which was topped with rich and goey chocolate. It was further topped with berries. What else? They pour flamed orange liqueur. The flavour of orange is precisely infused into this dessert. The sweet bitterness from the chocolate is well balanced with orange liqueur. Highly Highly Recommended 🤘🏻 Overall an awesome experience. I am surely visiting again to try their other specialities. The ambience is something for which I will keep coming back...

1 BHK (Bar House Kitchen) is located in Platina building near Vashi railway station and it cannot be missed due to the bright yellow colour used. They have one more outlet in Andheri West which is 1BHK (Brew House Kitchen).

The moment you enter from the main door the look of the place is simple elegant and beautiful. The dining section is located on the 1st floor and the way leading towards it is nicely made with sofas, vintage cupboards with books, blue chandelier and frames have been kept on the wall depicting who they are. The dining section is nice in size with seating options available for all size of groups. They have non ac section as well which also looks good. The bar is nicely placed and overall the vibe of the place is perfect for any type of occasion.

The menu contains multi cuisine and they have some handpicked Indian options as well. Loved the choices available from Italian to American to Indian dishes. Options are great for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. Price wise it is at par with similar type of brands and quantity served is filling and satisfactory.

I went here for lunch and the kitchen service was on time plus the table service by Staff Santosh was perfect as he suggested nice options and he was attentive and proactive.

What We Had - APPETIZERS~ BHK Chicken Skewers with Tzatziki - Huge chicken pieces grilled to perfection with amazing grill marks served with fresh cucumber yogurt based tzatziki sauce tasted brilliant. Loved the chicken here as it had light spices used and the juiciness was intact. The tzatziki sauce also went perfectly with the skewers.

Spiced Chicken Pide - Turkish pide looked nice and tasted decent. Topped with cheese, veggies and chicken with basil sauce spread. The base was nice no too thick. However I felt it was a bit dry. Taste wise good.

MAINS~ Kerala Style Pepper Chicken - One of the best mains that I have eaten in recent times. A very traditional Kerala style gravy with coconut milk and pepper and juicy boneless chicken in it tasted superb. Loved the bold flavours of pepper in this which was not too strong also the coconut milk was not giving sweetness. Eating it with rice after pouring desi ghee just made it heavenly.

DESSERT~ Baked Apple Crumble Cheesecake - Not too sweet with light hint of apple in this. This cheesecake tasted good and had decent creaminess. Some portion of the cake was hard. The vanilla ice cream tasted amazing with this.

DRINKS~ Nutella & Peanut Butter Shake. Grapefruit & Lychee Soda. Both the drinks tasted outstanding. Loved the taste of both.

I recently visited 1BHK in Vashi, a charming spot that’s perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or family. The ambiance is a perfect blend of modern and cozy, making it an ideal place to unwind. Their new Parsi menu caught my attention, and I couldn’t resist trying some of the dishes.

What We Tried:

Limoncello Tonic: A refreshing start to the meal, the Limoncello Tonic was light and citrusy with a pleasant hint of sweetness. It was the perfect palate cleanser before diving into the more flavorful dishes.

Jujeh Chicken Skewer: The chicken skewers were juicy and well-marinated. The blend of spices was just right, giving the dish a burst of flavor without overpowering the natural taste of the chicken.

Paneer Tikka: The paneer was incredibly soft and the tikka marinade was spot on, with a good balance of spices. It’s a must-try for vegetarians or anyone who enjoys a well-executed tikka.

Baklava: A delightful treat, the baklava was perfectly flaky with a rich, sweet filling. The layers were delicate, and the syrup added just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming.

Bombay Berry Pulao: This dish was a burst of flavors with every bite. The pulao was aromatic and well-cooked, with the berries adding a unique tangy sweetness that balanced the spices beautifully.

Not So Irani Chelo Kebab: This was one of the highlights of the meal. The kebabs were succulent, and the butter chiplet added a rich, creamy texture to the dish. It was a hearty and satisfying dish that I would definitely order again.

Apple Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream: The apple pie was warm and comforting, with a buttery crust and a sweet, spiced apple filling. The vanilla ice cream on the side was a classic pairing, making this dessert a perfect way to end the meal.

Seven Islands Iced Tea: A well-mixed cocktail, the Seven Islands Iced Tea was strong yet smooth. It had a nice blend of flavors, making it a great choice if you’re looking for a drink with a bit of a kick.

Service: The service was attentive and friendly, with the staff being knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations.
