Food quality is very good. They offer variety of different types of cuisines. I like their south Indian variety. Sandwiches look overpriced to me. Roti, Puri and Chapati... Every thing is available. Small sized Chapati is priced at Rs 25 at the time of writing this comment, which is again a bit overpriced. But quality is good.
Service is also very fast. They serve with care and affection, and do not bother you every now and then asking what you want. The ambiance is typical old Mumbai multi tastes Hotel. They can be more creative with it. It's just the same for last several years. AC is sometimes not enough and tables are closely packed, but still better than many other hotels in Mumbai.
The best part is Valet parking, which is truly a plus in Vashi. There is pay and park just in front of the hotel. But you leave your car with the hotel staff and they will park it for you. If you decide to park in pay and park, make sure you check the per hour rate chart before you pay. My experience with them is not so good.
Overall, it's easily accessible from Mumbai Pune highway. Just a couple of minutes from the highway. I don't eat at highway food malls. Instead, it's very convenient to go to this hotel while driving from Pune to Mumbai or Mumbai to Pune. It's also very easily accessible from Vashi Railway station, so it's convenient for my contacts as well to come to this hotel and discuss the matters with a cup of tea or filter coffee.

Read moreOverpriced, less quantity and poor quality. The restaurant used to be one of the best in Vashi but over the years its just a big name with poor quality. Quantity of the food has also gone down. They used to serve 3 vegetables, sambar, rasam, dal, rice, poori/roti, dahi, pickle and papad in their basic thali. Now many items have been removed and price hiked to 250 for simple thali. Same is the case for its pav bhaji (used to be one of the best) but now it's bland, very less salt and practically no butter on top. The pavs are also not buttered properly.
Had visited on 18th July and ordered 3 dosas (ghee sada, rava sada and tomato-onion-uttapa). The uttappa did not have salt and the tomato and onion were raw. Also, the chutney did not have any salt at all. I understand that nowadays people are health conscious and eat less salt but why serve complete bland chutney? It literally felt like eating grated coconut. Overall spent Rs350 with Zero Satisfaction. Could have spend a fraction of that at better South Indian restaurants in Matunga.
Finally, the worst part is the staff excuses when you try to bring to their attention some issue with the food. They are always defensive and never admit mistakes. All they says is "it is always done this way", when you know for sure it was not; since I have lived in Vashi for 37 years and it didn't taste that way...
Read moreFirst Impressions: Navratna Hotel has a simple and traditional look. The place is clean, but the decor felt a bit dated. There was ample seating, though it wasn’t particularly cozy or inviting.
Quality of Services/Experience: The food was average. The flavors were decent but nothing stood out. I tried the Masala Dosa and Veg Korma with naan. While the portions were generous, the taste was underwhelming, and some dishes lacked the expected freshness.
Staff/Customer Service: The staff was polite but not very attentive. Service was quite slow—even basic requests like water refills and taking the order took longer than expected.
Atmosphere/Environment: The atmosphere was quiet, which is a plus for those looking for a calm dining experience. However, the lack of energy or ambiance made it feel a bit dull.
Value for Money: The prices were fair, but given the average quality of food and slow service, it didn’t feel like the best...
