I've been a regular at Something’s Fishy @ Tunga, and their Goan Fish Curry with steamed rice has always been a personal favorite – absolutely mouthwatering, along with many other delightful dishes. So naturally, when it came to choosing a venue for my father-in-law’s 90th birthday celebrations, I booked One Too Many, trusting Tunga’s consistent quality. The overall experience was excellent. The food was delicious across the board – a sumptuous, satisfying meal that was also reasonably priced. The ambience was superb, perfect for a special celebration. What stood out positively: • I had requested that the chicken starter be served in small pieces, and the team delivered perfectly. All the starters were juicy and well-prepared. • The salads were fresh and well-balanced. • The biryani was absolutely delicious, as were the accompanying curries. • Most importantly, the feedback from our guests echoed my sentiments – they thoroughly enjoyed the food and shared their appreciation even after the event. A minor letdown: • The Goan Fish Curry – ironically, the main reason I booked the restaurant – didn’t meet expectations this time. The distinct aroma and flavor of coconut milk, which is essential to the dish, was missing. Instead, the curry tasted overly salty and lacked the balance that usually makes it so special. Special mention: • A heartfelt thanks to Chirag, the Manager, who was truly a gem. From our first interaction, he was proactive and incredibly supportive. He offered great suggestions, handled differences in opinion with grace, and was always available with a smile and helpful attitude. Despite the network signal issues inside the restaurant, which made communication a bit tricky at times, Chirag stayed on top of things and ensured everything ran smoothly right till the end. • My sincere appreciation to the entire staff for their attentiveness and support throughout the event. All in all, a solid High Five to Tunga – they lived up to their reputation yet again, delivering a memorable experience for a very...
