What a disappointing experience. We walked into this shop as there is a huge sign outdoors stating that there is a WiFi in the restaurant. As we needed to work without much thinking we walked in placed order and sat down. Once we asked how to access the WiFi, the girl working there told us that there is not WiFi. Well in that case you should t put outside a huge sign that inside is available WiFi. To prepare two teas and take out a pastries from the refrigerator took them more than 15 mins!! It not acceptable taking in consideration that besides us in the store weāre only another two customers.
Food was bad. Pastries were extremely dry and I question if they were fresh. Felt more like something has been on display for 2/3 days.. Once we tried to order cappuccino we get extremely snotty answer and eye rolls that they donāt serve cappuccino even though on the menu behind the cash register is written cappuccino with a picture. Once we finished our tea, asked where is the bathroom, we get laughed in face and got told that itās anywhere outside.
Also itās extremely dirty, the people working there donāt bother to take away cups from previous customers nor wipe the tables!!
Iām sorry, but customer service could be improved...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn a winter weekend after walking around we found a cozy Chai Point perfect for a quick snack. The self-service setup was simple and efficient & the prices were reasonable making it a great spot for beverages & quick bite snacks. They had seating on the ground floor and upper level both casual and comfortable.
What we orderedā¬ļøā¬ļøā¬ļø
Chai: The chai was definitely the highlight. It was perfectly brewed for chilly weather. Whatās even better is that they offer a variety of tea flavors so thereās something for everyone.
Samosa Bucket: Unfortunately the samosas didnāt live up to expectations. They were soggy and lacked the crispness youād normally associate with a good samosa. It felt as though they had been prepared in advance and simply reheated making them a bit of a disappointment.š
While the chai was great Iād recommend skipping the samosa bucket. The self-service model and the affordable pricing are definite positives. Overall, if youāre in the mood for some flavorful chai, Chai Point could be a good stop.
Note : (At weekends this place feels more like a business meetings hotspot than a chai...
