This was a fantastic hotel to stay at during our 4 day stay in Delhi, which kicked off an incredible two weeks in India. We are a couple in our 20s-30s and experienced travelers but first time setting foot in India. The rooms are modest but comfortable and sparkling clean, we stayed in a larger King bedroom for 2 nights then moved to a small queen studio room as we extended our stay for a night and a half. There is some potential for noise given that the building is cement with lots of tile, but given the location we were surprised by the lack of street noise compared to almost everywhere but if you’re a light sleeper, ear plugs will help with the occasional closing door or meowing cat from the neighboring buildings. The included breakfast is wonderful, full table of a la carte items with additional hot food for order. We got to try some very delicious traditional Indian foods here and everything from the service to the food quality was excellent.
All that said, the reason we will always stay here in the future and will tell all of our friends/family to start their Delhi adventures at this hotel is that we cannot say enough about the service provided by the entire hotel staff, they were helpful and knowledgeable about not only things to do in Delhi, but also surrounding cities in India as well (golden triangle transportation and tours). A special thanks to Wasim and Mahesh, who both helped us tremendously with information regarding our trip, even arranging money exchange at a great rate with the agent coming directly to the hotel to meet us, tour information, and where to stay and how to get the best rates at future cities in our itinerary. We needed nothing more for our stay in Delhi and if you're looking for a great place to rest your head, this is it! Probably not as good for those with families or who prefer larger hotel rooms.
Of note, one of us arrived as a single female for the first 2 days at this hotel. I felt very safe at this hotel and surrounding neighborhood. Locations is easy to find for taxi drivers from the airport although Uber and Ola take the guesswork out of language barriers and addresses/directions. The location is central to various metro lines with quick and easy access to other Delhi tourist attractions (staff will help you...
Read moreRecently I became a Medical Tourist as I traveled to India for a total knee replacement. (More on that in another review, but spoiler alert, it went great)! During my time of recovery we stayed in the Hotel Palace Heights, located in Connaught Place, New Delhi for 3 weeks.
I almost lack the words to describe what a fantastic hotel and staff this place is!
First I wish to honor the staff. These folks quickly became our family, bringing in ice packs, fresh fruit, cookies and always a kind and friendly word, smile or greeting. They were genuinely interested in our well being, which made recovering from home so much easier, without any stress! I wish I could name everyone who made this time so memorable!!! Forget the 5 stars...these people are worth many more times than that!!!
The room was perfect. Clean, spacious and perfect air conditioning controls ( it was about 110F while we were there), so we were always comfortable. Wifi was great. We were able to download tons of movies from Netflix and Amazon Prime to watch on our tablet and get our work done on our laptops.
The room service menu was superb! My husband and I said everytime how wonderful the food was!!! Seriously, how could any other hotel compete with these people??? I have a few pictures of the food sent to our room.
It is near many 100's of shops and resteraunts and a huge park so there is plenty to do and see should you have the urge to explore.
Thank you everyone at Hotel Palace Heights. You are...
Read moreI chose this property based on its location and price and was not disappointed. The hotel is basic but adequate for a short, budget-friendly stay. Its location in the Middle Circle, within walking distance of Rajiv Chowk, is very convenient for exploring the historic marketplace. Numerous restaurants, shopping options, banks, currency exchange services, and taxis are all within easy reach.||The highlight of this hotel was the staff. They were consistently polite, kind, and always willing to assist. The onsite restaurant served authentic Indian cuisine at reasonable prices.||However, I did encounter an issue that was unrelated to the hotel’s facilities. Guests occupying the two rooms adjacent to mine engaged in disruptive and unethical behavior. A large number of people were moving in and out of their rooms from early morning until late afternoon, which appeared to be related to using the hotel rooms as a mobile office. This created significant noise and discomfort for other guests, and the staff seemed unable to address the situation effectively.||I hope the hotel management will take this feedback constructively and exercise caution when accommodating similar groups...
