Chard - Burgers, Grill and Bar — Restaurant in New Delhi

Located in the Basant Lok market of Vasant Vihar, Chard isn't too hard to find. The place is about 500m from the nearest metro station and thus quite accessible. As we made our way up the narrow staircase, the first floor was completely filled and were guided to the next floor for seating. Overall, I think the place can seat about 50 people indoors on both the floors combined. They also have outdoor seating for people who like to smoke though it was quite limited to like 5-6 seats. The ambience of the place was dimly lit and fairly comforting in these harsh Delhi winters. Now, let's talk about the food. We called for the Patatas Bravas Tots which are like your tater tots but much better. The filling inside was absolutely brilliant and the salsa served along was just the right amount of smoky. Next up, we called for the Fiery Prawn linguini and the Wild Mushroom Melt - both of which are a part of their limited time menu collaboration with Ramano's chilli oils. While I didn't feel the chilli as much I would have liked to in both the dishes, they were still delectable and an absolute must have. We also ordered a Cruncheese burger which was a fairly simple yet scrumptious dish. It's a burger with a fried paneer patty dusted with Ghost chilli powder and jalapeños and some in house sauce I believe. It was good but nothing to write home about.

As we were getting late, I got the Banana pudding parcelled and took it home. It was as stated in the menu - custard, biscuits and bananas - a simple banana pudding. Will probably not get this the next time. For drinks we got the Bicycle Thief which was liked by all at the table. The service was quick and the waiters polite. Chard will surely be one of the best Burger joints in Delhi, no doubt about this whatsoever. I heard about this place on Insta, and I knew I had to come and try this out. You kinda get tempted by everything that is there in Priya Market, but do try Chard and experience something really good. We sat on the first floor; for some reason, the AC was not functioning, and that made it a little uncomfortable after a while.

Southern Fried Fish Fingers lacked taste, were not fried the way we thought they would be, a total disaster of a dish. Ghost Chilli Dusted Fried Chicken Tenders, however, were freaking amazing. The kind of difference in this dish from the fish we had was opposite. Soft chicken tenders pieces, perfectly cooked, and that ghost chilli powder, just too freaking good.

Hot Fried Chicken Burger, purely inspired by the madness of chilli powder. The burger was brilliant, chicken fried to perfection, and the jalapenos with the coleslaw made it the perfect burger for me. The Holychick is a whopping double chicken patty, with some mustard mayo, mushrooms, and caramelised onions! Oh the patties were so soft and juicy, buns so soft! Perfection!

The OG is yet another amazing burger with a well done patty, super juicy, super yum, mixed with in house special sauce. The burgers truly were some of the best we have had in a really long time, however one can question the service as they are pretty...

I make special trips to Chard all the way from Gurgaon—and it’s always worth it. This place has completely won me over with its incredible smash burgers that are truly to die for.

Bonjour Burger – a beautifully balanced flavor bomb that keeps calling me back. The attention to quality and flavor in their burgers is unmatched—perfectly smashed patties, soft buns, and flavorful sauces that hit the mark every single time.

On my most recent visit, I decided to explore their dessert menu, and I was genuinely surprised by how good it was. The Tiramisu Sundae was rich yet light, and the Mango Tres Leches Sundae was a tropical delight—refreshing, creamy, and indulgent in the best way.

I’ll keep coming back till they give me a reason not to (which honestly feels unlikely). Highly recommend to any burger lover or dessert enthusiast looking for a standout...
