Mysore cafe is a dosa lover's paradise that left me truly impressed. During my recent visit to Delhi, I had the pleasure of having food at this culinary gem, and it turned out to be a delightful and memorable experience that I can't wait to share.
First and foremost, the highlight of this eatery is its extensive dosa menu.Mysore cafe boasts a diverse range of dosas, each more enticing than the last. From the classic Masala Dosa, which was crisp and generously stuffed with a flavorful potato filling, there's something to please every palate.
The quality of dosas here is impeccable. They are made to perfection – thin, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. What truly sets Mysore cafe apart is their dedication to using fresh and high-quality ingredients. The dosas are served piping hot, and you can taste the authenticity in every bite.
The accompaniments and chutneys served alongside the dosas were equally impressive. The coconut chutney was creamy and had just the right balance of flavors. The sambar was rich and flavorful, enhancing the overall dosa experience.
Not only is the food exceptional, but the service at Mysore cafe is also worth commending. The staff was friendly, attentive, and eager to recommend dosa varieties based on our preferences. Their passion for dosa culture was evident, and it added to the warm and inviting atmosphere of the place.
The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and comfortable, making it an ideal spot for both solo diners and families alike. It's clear that Mysore cafe takes pride in creating a welcoming environment where guests can savor not only dosas but also the rich culinary heritage of Mysore.
In terms of value for money, I found Mysore cafe to be incredibly reasonable, considering the quality and variety of dosas on offer. It's a place where you can indulge in a mouthwatering dosa feast without breaking the bank.
In conclusion, Mysore cafe is a hidden culinary gem in Heart of the Delhi that deserves all the praise it receives. If you're a dosa enthusiast or just looking to savor the best of Mysorean cuisine, this is the place to be. The combination of an extensive dosa menu, outstanding quality, warm service, and affordability makes it a must-visit spot in the city. My taste buds were thoroughly delighted, and I can't wait for my next visit to...
Read moreThis is according to me is an overhyped place. I went here at around 7.15 in morning with my friend. Too much crowd but I got a seat. We ordered cold coffee, masala buttermilk, set dosa and Mysore masala dosa. Drinks came in 2 minutes but the food came at 8. So around 40min for the food. Ratings:: Cold coffee - 2/5 - not good. Don't take it. Masala chaas - 3/5 - descent . If you want something curdy with your oil and masala things you can try Set dosa - 4/5 - I like it. Fluffy and good taste. Sambhar was spicy for me and tasted average and same about chutneys. Mysore masala dosa - 2/5 - not good. It was burnt. Now if you want to try good South Indian. Places I would recommend :: Price high = Dasaprakash - CP - Good food great ambiance - must try tamarind rice, Malabar parotha, dosa and other things. Juggernaut - Barakhamba road - good food good ambiance - sambhar ka taste mujhe bohot psnd hai. Must try mini tadka podi idli here. Moderate price = Andhra Bhavan - near janpath road - their morning ambiance is descent but food that is 150rs thali for dosa idli and coffee was good. And taste is also good Low price = M Gopinath - old rajendra nagar - ambiance and seating space is too small. But the food . WoW 😄 must try masala dosa, idli and tomato rice. Go for these options if you have taste...
Read moreThis restaurant is nestled in MP hostel blocks in South Avenue, New Delhi, a VIP area. It's part of the small shopping centre that caters to the MP hostel and the offices around. Being located close to the President's House (Rashtrapati Bhavan) and a few ministry offices nearby, there is a continuous flow of eaters. We went there for lunch after seeing a post about it in a facebook post. The guys are very good and helpful but they are really busy. Lots of people visit the place for fresh and good kannadiga food. When I asked why bisi bele bhaat is not available, the guy said that not many people know about the dish. Besides, they have regular clients who feed on their standard menu, so the need for doing the full kannadiga meals doesn't exist. Seating capacity is around 16/20 people and kitchen is also small. They do have limitations but one thing is sure, you are guaranteed to get good food. Cost of food is not much, quite moderate. One should definitely come here for cheap but good and fresh south indian...
