Rasanai, they have got an interesting menu, could try a few from it: Neer Dosa and Kori Gassi, Egg Appam, Majestic Chicken, Plain Dosa (not on menu).

Plain dosa, provided as courtesy on chargeable basis at INR 249 (not worth it, could have provided Chicken or Kalaan dosa at the same price on menu).

Their puffed rice chat (A nice flavor of pori, mixture, ginger, onion, coriander, and coconut oil), and chicken soup are complimentary, were nice touch before the food was delivered to table.

The food, say gravy quantity is extremely less for the price INR 349+, could suffice one person for two pieces of neer dosa and two appam (if you happen to less gravy in general), all non-veg gravies comes with bone and meat, meaning none are bone-less. Taste was alright, Kori Gassi was tomato base gravy, nothing special about it.. could have been better in taste, nothing to complaint as well, just very less on quantity.

I have also noticed some of the other customers having Biryani, Panaiolai Sapaadu, even though they all are above INR400 on their menu, it may not even fill one hungry person. It’s fancy for sure, just rekindling savouries from different parts of South Indian states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Karnataka. Looked attractive!

Sulaiman Chai was great!

Ambience: well spaced, nice and simple interiors, high roofing, elegant, modern yet traditional feel. 5/5.

Service: New restaurant, and service wise they are on top of it. 5/5.

Coimbatore’s Pricol Group operates this restaurant, they also operate Chennai’s Saveera Restaurant, this happens to be the first in Coimbatore along with Little Soi which is next door.

Their desserts section and hot drinks section is definitely interesting, could be a great traditional cafe too, try your evening coffee or tea time here, Panagam, Sulaiman Chai are great to see on a fine fine menu.

Do try it out and share...

Nothing much to say. The restaurant offers the chicken meals, which is not good, they offer rice in a very small bowl same as that of sambhar or rasam which the waiter said that it is unlimited and anything can be ordered n number of times but there is a catch. First time I ordered the meal, it took around 30-40 mins for them to serve, and inbetween when I make eye contact with the waiter, he said the meal is being prepared. Then when the meal is given, the mutton curry is just okay. They provided some chicken which was cold and I just thought that’s the way how that should be served. Then after completing that tiny bowl of rice, I had to ask the waiter, to bring rice again, he too around 5-6 mins for bringing the rice, by that time, I ate the ghee rice provided by them in the smaller bowl. I ordered another cup of rice to eat with rasam and tamarind curry along with that chicken, the waiter bought the rice first and said the chicken is being prepared. After eating the rice, it was just awkward to ask him for the rice again and again so I stopped. I was waiting for the chicken even after finishing the rice just not to make the waiter feel bad. But this time I received the same chicken hot. I don’t know what was being prepared for first 40 mins of ordering the meal. When I asked the waiter why they wouldn’t serve the rice in a bigger bowl, they said that most of the people waste the food. Now if the quantity offered is just as less, instead of rice, other things will be getting wasted. We ordered curd rice and potato, just the cost was higher but taste was bad, same with coin parotta with mutton chukka. If someone says that this restaurant offers a wonderful meal, then I am sorry for the usual...

⭐ Very disappointing experience overall. I had high expectations when visiting RASAனை, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short on multiple fronts—food quality, freshness, and service. Food Experience: Kovai Paneer Monica: This dish was extremely dry and served completely cold. It lacked any freshness or flavour and was quite unappetising. For a specialty item priced at a premium, this was very disappointing. Pallipalayam Mushroom Grill: This was supposed to be a signature preparation, but it tasted blunt and undercooked. The mushrooms were raw in texture, and the spices were hardly balanced. Madurai Kaai Saalna: This was probably the only dish that was moderately acceptable. The taste was okay but nothing memorable or special. Bun Parotta: This was hard, dry, and not hot at all. The texture felt stale, and it was difficult to eat. Serving bread items cold is simply not acceptable in a restaurant of this standard. Service Issues: The service was very slow and inattentive. Despite repeated reminders, the food arrived late. No effort was made to check on our table or ask if everything was okay. Overall Impression: For a bill amounting to nearly ₹1,200, the experience did not feel worth it in any way. The combination of late service, poor food quality, and lack of hospitality left us very dissatisfied. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes urgent improvements in both kitchen standards and service training. When customers come to dine out, they expect at least fresh, hot food and prompt, courteous service—basic essentials that were clearly missing here. Not recommended unless major...

We had our dinner here, we ordered Ulava charu, Kongu kozhi thanni rasam, Elai kaalan porichadhu, majestic chicken, Soya Kaima dosai, Bun parotta, Pollachi Mutton kulambu, Fresh lime soda. Ulava charu - It was tangy, refreshing soup. We really loved it. A must try. Kongu kozhi thanni rasam - A punchy soup, home made taste. Authentic taste a must try. Elai Kaalan Porichadhu - Very crispy, light on masala. Tasted so good. Majestic chicken - Right blend of spices, tasted yum. Soya kaima dosa - A regular dosa stuffed with Soya kaima, nothing special. Taste was good. Bun parotta - Fluffy, soft and but greasy too. Pollachi Mutton kuzhambhu - This tasted too good. Home made type masala, made with Mutton and few veggies like drumstick, potato et al. Mutton was well done. A good place to dine out with your family and friends. Service - When we went the place was fully packed, we ordered Appam and Madurai Kaai salna but they didn't deliver it to our table until the end. And we had to intimate them and cancel it. They have to sort out on how to deliver the items to the table. Ambience - Interior is well done, pleasent to eyes. I find the space to be congested when it is fully packed. Price - I find the price to be on the higher side. But once in a while indulgence is good too.

Tucked away in the city's buzzing heart, Rasanai is a haven for upscale South Indian cuisine. We stumbled upon it on a Sunday night and were instantly captivated by its vibrant atmosphere and stylish ambiance. Despite the bustling crowd, we snagged a table within 30 minutes. From the first bite, we were impressed. The chena cutlet was crispy and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Porucha parotta with milagu kozhi, pichu potta kozhi and fish poruchathu was a delightful explosion of flavors showcasing the restaurant's mastery of spices and textures. For the main course, we ordered Vaniyambadi mutton biryani which stole the show. Its aroma was intoxicating, and the flavorful rice was perfectly complemented by the succulent mutton. The kozhi kizhi and kaalan kizhi parottas, wrapped in banana leaf, added an earthy depth to the experience. To end our dinner, we ordered rosemilk and goli soda which brought a refreshing touch. The pazam pori with paalada pradhanam was delightful but unfortunately they didn’t has noongu Payasam during our visit. Overall, Rasanai is a fantastic choice for those seeking a refined and flavorful South Indian experience. Be prepared for a bustling atmosphere and a price tag to match, but the culinary journey will be well worth it.
