Oliviá House Patiala — Restaurant in Patiala

Please take this review as a feedback for the owners & I hope they read this & take it positively & try to work on stuff I will mention here. I have both positives & negatives to say for this cafe! Firstly, focusing on the positives- This cafe offers one of the best ambiances in the city. It has that fancy Italian restaurant vibe, which is good. Dine in here to enjoy the pretty glass house indoors or the outdoor patios with tent seating spaces! You won’t feel much warm due to their effective coolers. Another thing, their service is decent & quick paced mostly, but the attendants need to learn more information to recommend food to their customers!

Now the major negative part is- THE FOOD. According to me, food is the most important component for an eatery to run successfully.

1. The food tastes pretty much average. Had a pizza, tastes completely okay, but I have had better. Had their alfredo pasta- was completely bland!
2. The variety is a problem here too. Us being complete vegetarians, we struggled to find more options. Didn’t focus on the non veg part of the menu, so can’t really comment on that. The menu mostly comprises of- Soups (won’t prefer in Summers), Salads (??!), Starters with French fries, Pizzas, Lebanese (many people are not good fans of Lebanese food, fewer options in this space as well), Main course with just 2-3 veg options, Pastas(didn’t like the one i tasted here, so), Few Indian food options & Desserts!

Even with the options i have listed I could summarise the menu into mostly Pizzas & Pasta for me here. Out of which, I would not choose pastas here.

Beverages are separate obviously & are good!

I would like to conclude the review by mentioning that food needs to be worked upon here. Please take this...

The only positive aspect of this place is its ambience only.... Rest all the aspects were inappropriate..... Quality and quantity of food was very disappointing..... Moreover the behaviour of staff was not appropriate except one guy named Gaurav Firstly, we ordered fries which was just ok... Then we ordered pasta and I'm just speechless about it... The quantity was like it could not even serve 2 people properly and the veggies in it were just capsicum and olives that too very little(capsicum- 2-3pieces, olives- 3-4 pieces).... And on asking the staff about it they said it is served as such..... Quality of drinks was also poor and we were not at all satisfied.... When we talked with the staff about all this, their behaviour was not at all good and we were very disappointed... This place is just overrated just because of its ambience..... If this message could reach upto owner, so it's a humble request plz look into the...

One of the worst experiences that i had ever had was one on 22 dec 2024 olivia ptiala. The moment i entered the ambience was ok however they make me stand from outside saying they have reservations. Tht is fine to some extent but to my surprise when i sat on table inside olivia , the whole table was filled with dust. The plates too had dust in it . Then i ordered pizza there . They setved me cold pizza that too on dirty plates . They showed me tht thy hv cleaned but it wasnt , the taste of pizza was totally bland and when i asked for the chilly sauce they gave me tobasco sauce . Even after adding alot of tobasco sauce still it didnt elevate the taste. Then i ordered arabiata pasta which was that spicy that it was unedible.
