I recently visited this establishment for lunch and was recommended the Jaipur Thali by the staff. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me quite disappointed.
Despite being served a full plate with a variety of items — including vegetables, dal, kadhi, sweets, and more — roti was not included initially, and I had to request it four times before it finally arrived.
Food Experience: • Palak Paneer: The gravy was bland, and the paneer was tough and lacked freshness. It was not appetizing. • Aloo Sabji: A generic preparation with nothing memorable about the flavor. • Chana Sabji: Severely under-seasoned and lacking salt. • Rajasthani Dal: This was the only item that stood out for being well-prepared and flavorful. • Kadhi: Did not suit my taste. • Bhindi: Felt undercooked and had no distinct flavor.
Additionally, a green chutney was served that smelled and tasted artificial — I chose to avoid it.
Other items included: • A stale dhokla • A soft but oddly unpleasant batata wada
Dessert: • Rabdi: Looked good but had an off-putting taste. • Strawberry Halwa: Was passable but didn’t stand out in any way.
The khichadi served was again average, lacking flavor and any hint of ghee. I requested ghee once, and though the server acknowledged it, he never returned. I ended up finishing it as-is, just to be done with the meal.
I was also offered a cup of ice cream as part of a promotional offer, but by that point, I had no interest left in trying anything more.
Service:
Service was perhaps the most disappointing aspect. The staff seemed disinterested and distracted, often engaged in personal conversations and playing videos loudly behind seated guests. Their attitude improved only when a manager or supervisor passed by — after which they’d quickly go back to being inattentive once he left.
Requests like a glass of water or a single roti had to be repeated multiple times. The staff also seemed unfamiliar with the thali components — when I asked for details, the manager laughed and said someone would explain it, but no one ever came.
Comparison:
I’ve dined at several thali restaurants, and the difference in service and quality here was stark. In places like Sukanta or Murlidhar (where thalis cost just ₹140–₹150), the staff constantly check in, refill items without being asked, and ensure you’re comfortable. That’s the level of attentiveness I expected, especially after paying ₹411 (including taxes) here.
Unfortunately, neither the food nor the service lived up to that price or expectation. I hope the management takes this feedback constructively and works toward improving both quality and...
Read moreTaste Food is OK and nothing great to remember and visit again. Most of the veggies are served in small bowls with a big spoon provided to eat - completely mismatch Limited content or variety in unlimited Thali Some items appears not fresh or warm.
Only plus point that it is opposite to Dmart and provides parking space compared to other restaurants in Baner/Aundh
Service Waiters are clueless while serving food
Atmosphere Too noisy , taste of food can be felt only if restaurant ambience is calm and silent. This is completely missing at Baba Ramdev Rasoi
To add to this they put on big fans which throws air on the customers. Waiters completely unaware what to do when asked to put off fans
Once you are out of restaurant you will see many cars right at the entrance and it seems like entered into a garage rather parking. Nowhere you will see cars parked right at the entrance level
Cleanliness Average cleanliness. Same person serving food and same one cleaning the table afterwards
You will have paper tissues at table but the quality of tissue is so cheap that if you wipe your hands the tissue will tear quickly
Bill payment Counter and wash basins are hardly few meters away. Again completely destroys the ambience and feel of the place Crowd always at reception. Bill will not be available at the table but order will be taken on table.
A big television is right between wash basin and billing counter and owners busy changing channels.
Nothing feels like its authentic Rajasthani food or place
Selling local stuff in the name of Rajasthani food
Compared to this the Ashapuri dining in Vishal nagar or Paramhans in Baner from Rajasthani taste perspective looks better and professional in managing...
Read moreOne of the WORST hotel experiences I’ve ever had!
I went today with my family — 10 people in total — and it was a complete disaster. The staff here are absolutely CLUELESS and have ZERO common sense. First, they changed our order TWICE without even informing us. Then, they served food so salty it was nearly inedible. Who messes up basic food like that?
We ordered 5 curries, and not even half were finished — that’s how BAD it was. We didn’t come to waste food or money, but that’s exactly what happened.
And after all that, they had the audacity to charge us ₹2873, and just said “We gave 15% off.” EXCUSE ME? We didn’t come here for coupons — we came to enjoy a decent meal with family, and what we got instead was a complete joke of a service.
On top of that, multiple people were fighting and complaining while we were there. Clearly, this isn’t just our experience — it’s a PATTERN!
So here’s my sincere advice: DO NOT go here with your family. You’ll leave with frustration, wasted money, and a spoiled day.
Shame on this place for running such pathetic service and still calling themselves...
