Upsouth Aundh is a great spot if you’re craving modern South Indian food with a quick-service twist. I’ve visited a few times and the experience has been consistently good. The ambiance is casual, clean, and well-lit—perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed meal with friends.
The dosas here are a highlight—crispy, generously stuffed, and served hot. The Mysore Masala Dosa and Cheese Burst Dosa are personal favorites, full of flavor and satisfying. Their idlis are soft and go really well with the chutneys and piping hot sambar. I also love their filter coffee—strong, aromatic, and served in the traditional steel cup and saucer. It’s a small touch, but it makes the experience feel more authentic.
What stands out about Upsouth is the balance between traditional taste and contemporary presentation. They have self-service, which keeps the process efficient. The staff is polite and helpful, and the service is usually quick even during peak hours.
Prices are reasonable considering the quality and hygiene standards. They also have combo meals which are great value for money. For those who like fusion or want to try something different, the South Indian burgers and rice bowls offer a nice twist on classics.
Overall, Upsouth Aundh is a dependable place for fresh, tasty South Indian food without the fuss. Definitely recommend it for students, working professionals, or anyone who enjoys a flavorful...

Read moreIf you plan on coming here, bring a sleeping bag because by the time your food arrives you'll complete a nice nap.
We went during morning breakfast hours and despite having an expectation of quick service because of peak time hours and not a large crowd in sight, we received our food much later than we should've. Patrons who came later than us were seemingly given priority while we struggled to get the waiters attention.
Worst thing is even after getting our order late, they forgot an entire order on top of that that we had to remind her after we were done with our meal. So the coffee, which I wanted to drink before the meal to refresh, ended up coming after we finished our meal only serving to increase our acidity.
The food wasn't anything to write home about either. I've had better South Indian food on roadside stalls. Authenticity is useless if it doesn't come with taste. The only thing I liked was the uttapam which was superb in taste. Everything else was meh, including the filter coffee.
2/5 would probably never...
