We recently visited a Kimling Chinese restaurant that turned out to be an absolute gem for anyone who appreciates authentic Asian cuisine. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance set the tone perfectly — warm, inviting, and subtly elegant, with décor elements that reflected traditional Chinese aesthetics without feeling overdone. The seating was comfortable, the lighting soft, and the overall vibe was perfect for a relaxed dining experience.

The menu was impressive, offering a wide variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. For meat lovers, there were ample choices including chicken, prawns, and pork, all prepared in traditional Chinese styles. The vegetarian section was equally tempting, making it an inclusive spot for groups with diverse preferences. What pleasantly surprised us was the inclusion of sushi on the menu, which added a Japanese twist to the otherwise Chinese-focused spread.

We decided to try the avocado sushi and Pad Thai noodles, and both exceeded our expectations. The avocado sushi was fresh, with perfectly seasoned rice and a creamy avocado filling that melted in the mouth. The Pad Thai noodles were bursting with flavor — balanced between sweet, tangy, and umami — with just the right amount of spice and a generous mix of fresh vegetables. Each bite made it evident that the ingredients were fresh and the preparation authentic.

The service was another highlight. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, quick to take orders, and happy to offer suggestions. Our food arrived promptly and was served with a smile, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Considering the quality of the food, the authenticity, and the overall experience, the pricing was more than reasonable. For the two dishes, we paid just ₹600, and the portions were generous enough to leave us completely satisfied.

Overall, this restaurant ticked all the boxes — authentic flavors, great variety, excellent service, lovely ambiance, and fair pricing. It’s a place we would happily return to and recommend to anyone looking for a genuine Chinese (with a dash of Japanese)...

I visited Kimling restaurant in Aundh after a lot of research on the best Chinese restaurants in the vicinity. In fact, my search for the best Chinese buffet restaurants in Pune for value for money still continues as Kimling only offers Ala carte options only. The vegetarian food quality was really authentic and the menu was quite enterprising with options - I also learnt the difference between Schezwan and Sichuan (they serve Sichuan delicacy). The restaurant ambience is good but It's a small/ cosy place with sittings at the ground & floor above. Do not assume it to be too large or lavish in terms of sitting from the online pictures available. Also, having an opportunity to try Chinese opt for options different from the usual to enjoy local delicacies truly for eg I tried the Veg Peking soup instead of the usual Manchow soup and was pleasantly surprised with better taste. Timely service is an area of opportunity along with the space to cater (people were understaffed and had to constantly move from the kitchen which is downstairs to customers sitting on the upper floor). An overall good experience apart from the opportunities...

The hunt for good food is always on my mind!!And this search again headed me to KIMLING. Now, they have outlets and we visited the one stationed @ Aundh. We had headed for dinner on a WEEKDAY and the wait for the table was just not getting over🤨. That , gives a clear idea about the food quality. After multiple 20 minutes wait time, we got a table as we insisted to be seated outside. And , the team is extremely polite and helpful. As, it was very late and past 10:30 pm , we directly ordered the Main Course. This time we chose the Vegetarian menu. The all time Indo-Chinese classics: Veg Hakka Noodles, Schezwan Fried Rice and Moo Goo Choy . ( Before you begin to get different abbreviated versions of the last dish… It’s mushroom, zucchini and bok choy in Hakka gravy)🤩 and it’s yummm. And be ready to get the remaining food parcel as the quantity is sufficient for 3-4 people. Food-5/5 Ambience-4/5 Quantity & Quality- 5/5 You would always leave this place with a smile , because of all the kind staff members who would always greet their customers with a 😊 smile.

Ok, first things first. Contrary to what some people have written, the food here is not cheap in terms of price. It is above average but the taste evens it. But, look at the bright side. 1. Hospitable staff. We were serviced by Hikato and he was very humble and polite, yet thinking on his feet. 2. Decent ambience. 3. Works with Dine-out to get customers good payment benefits. 4. Not exactly Mainland China, but in a league of its own. 5. Food is palatable and tasty. 6. Do check out the first desert on the menu. Its simple, yet scrumptious. Named something like noodle honey icecream and consisted of fried flat noodles dipped in a sweet nectar (honey according to them) and with two scoops of vanilla iceCream. Check the images below. Edit1 1st February 2023: The quality of the food in terms of taste has highly detoriated. I am not recommending anyone to try this place out especially for vegetarian food.
