‘Café 1730’ is the place which used to be my go to place as it is a very old place. The place has got something, whether its that vibe or their food which can make you fall in love with this place. After successfully running in Koregaon Park, almost an year back they have come up with their another outlet in World Trade Centre, Kharadi which in fact is the better version of KP outlet. The one in Kharadi is more spacious and beautiful. The outdoor seating area surrounded by lush greens is something which is addition of a feather in a cap. Also, the indoor seating area has this huge balcony replica on one of their walls making the place pretty. Their Bar counter was well organized and had a small stage on top of it for the Live bands or Artists. That was really cool. Their live music was good, not too loud yet soothing.
Since, I visited this place on Sunday; they had Brunch that day. But instead of trying their Brunch, I preferred to order something from their Ala- carte menu. Just to let you know that Goan food is their specialty. And I was specially there to try their Goan food. So, these are the things which I have tried there- PINEAPPLE DAIQUIRI: It was a rum based cocktail. It was a mild rum cocktail which had pineapple juice along with crushed pineapple, sugar syrup and lime juice. It had a light-yellow color and had a mild taste. For the people who likes rum, this is the drink they should try.
SPICY WATERMELON MARGARITA: This was one hell of a cocktail. A tequila-based drink which blew my mind off. Disclaimer: This was one strong cocktail and can get you drunk in 2-3 drinks so drink it at your own risk. So, when Tequila mixed with watermelon juice and some chilly powder and salt on the edges of glass resulted in Spicy Watermelon Margarita. I really liked the flavor of chilies coming off with drink. It was red in color and presented with 2 green chillies on the edges of glass made it look like a devil’s drink and hell it was one. I totally loved this drink.
POTATO PEPPER & CHEESE CROQUETTES: This was such a delectable starter. I have had the combination of Potato and Cheese before but this one was delicious. Mashed potatoes along with cheese which were rolled in croquettes and later deep fried. The inside stuffing was so good that it melted right away I put it into my mouth. It tantalized my taste buds with such a mild and cheesy taste.
PRAWNS STUFFED WITH CRAB CUTLET: Now that was one amazing combination of Prawns and crabs. King prawns which were stuffed with crab meat and marinated in ground spices, golden fried tasted delicious. The outer layer was crispy and inside it was filled with crab meat which was scrumptious. A must try dish if you love Prawns.
GRILLED CHICKEN STEAK: This was one of the best chicken steak I have had so far. The chicken was tender and juicy and cooked to perfection. It was served with mashed potato and sautéed vegetables. The chicken was properly grilled and had that smoky flavour. It was flavoursome and really juicy.
LAMB XACUTI: If you love Goan food then this is something you can’t miss. Succulent lamb pieces which were cooked in fragrant Goan spices along with fresh coconut and had a spicy taste. This was one heavenly dish. I could literally feel all those spices they have used and even though it was spicy, it surely was treat for my tastebuds. The gravy looks red and had a perfect consistency. Lamb pieces were juicy and soft. A must try food item.
BELGIAN CHOCOLATE CAKE: This dessert won my heart. One of the heavenly Belgian cake I have had. It was made of dark Belgian chocolate and had a hint of bitterness with a strong taste of dark chocolate and was so rich and gooey. The moment I took a bite, I lost myself to this dessert. It was that good. A must try dessert there.
So, everything which I have tried there turned out to be perfect in terms of taste and presentation. A big shoutout to Chef Melba who did her best and also was courteous enough to take my feedback repeatedly. Their service was good too. And overall this is...

Here's what we had-
🔹 Beverages 🔹
➡️ Cocktail-
🔸Smoke Cinnamon: Whiskey based cocktail with Cinnamon! Cinnamon is said to be a great stress buster and so is the whiskey, and the combination of these to will take all your stress away with every sip. It was sweet with a strong cinnamon flavor and aroma!
➡️ Mocktail-
🔸 Virgin Pinacolada: It hardly ever happens that I actually like a Mocktail when I already have a good cocktail in front of me! This Virgin Pinacolada was basically shouting it's goodness through every sip! Strong flavor of pineapple with a bit of coconut flavor. It was sweet, strong and tangy! (Recommended)
🔹Food🔹
➡️Soups-
🔸Wild Mushroom Soup: Mushrooms contain Vitamin D which is comparatively hard to obtain in winter so it's pretty obvious that this is a perfect soup for the winter season. It was very rich and texture was smooth with chunks of mushrooms. This Soup is a warm hug on a chilly winter night.
🔸Cream Of Asparagus With Roasted Pistachios: Ihv never had anything that's this light on stomach yet tastes like pure magic. It wasn't spicy or containing too many flavor, yet I couldn't stop myself from finishing it in a snap! It's simplicity is it's power. The texture was smooth and creamy with roasted pistachios on the top. It was mild in taste and pistachios just added the cherry on the top (Highly recommend)
➡️ Starters-
🔸Potato, pepper and cheese croquettes- Potato croquettes loaded with cheese and pepper. Although I think it could have used a bit more of pepper flavor to spice it up a little more. The covering was crispy with soft filling! It's can be a great side bite while having a hard drink of your choice!
🔸 Butter Garlic Mushrooms- Mushrooms tossed in butter garlic sauce. Had a generous amount of garlic flavor that went really well with the natural taste of mushroom. Mushrooms were cooked to perfection with a soft chewy texture.
➡️Main Course-
🔸Veg Lasagna: Lasagna, a layered piece of heaven that cafe 1730 took to a whole new level! Absolutely delicious. It was spicy and peppery with a hint of acidic flavor. The pasta was well cooked along with the veggies and other ingredients. It was cheesy and spicy, this combo made made take a second serving of this dish even when I was full. (Recommended)
🔸Daal Makhni Risotto: Italy via Punjab for real! This is what you get when our good old daal Makhni goes to Italy and comes back with a spot on fusion. This has to be the most favorite thing I Tasted in my visit to the place. Perfectly cooked rice and the flavor of daal Makhni was on point! It served with tandoori paneer satay and papad! It was spicy but not so much that I'd burn your taste buds. This is that dish that you should not miss out on when in Cafe 1730! (highly recommend)
➡️ Dessert-
🔸 Blueberry Cheesecake: The only way cheese is dessert is when it's followed by the word cake. First thing I see in a Cheese cake is it's texture. This one had a smooth texture with a bit crumbly base. Overall I liked it!
🔹 Ambience and Service 🔹
Super elegant ambience. The wooden furniture gave it a beautiful rustic feel. Loved the windows. The place is good for corporate meetings and gatherings! Although the dim yellow lights add a decent, romantic touch to it. Also loved how the have the name of the cafe at back of all chairs.
Very attentive and courteous staff. They are very polite and respectful. The service was prompt. The place is clean and...
