G-SARDAR-G DA DHABA — Restaurant in Pune

Had a very -ve and bad experience at this place. Could give MINUS RATING, IF THERE WAS ONE !!!!!!!! We recommended and took our guests (who were from some other city) along to this rest. with gr8 confidence: HOWEVER,........

1. Menu - Tandoori chic was not available- one of the most popular Punjabi dishes in a Punjabi rest. !!!!!!!!!
2. Time - very lousy - it took around 45 min for the chic kebabs to arrive at the table, even though there were only 2 tables (incl ours) occupied and 4 staff in the place !!!
3. Quality - very lousy - As if the wait was not irritating, when the chic kebabs finally came after a long time, they were greatly undercooked and were very chewy-true punjabi kebabs should melt in your mouth !!!!
4. Quantity - the quantity too was a joke-barely 4-5 pieces of chic in it !!!!!!!
5. The place - It was a cool evening, so we asked them to switch the fan off, they said they could not bcos of some technical reason-smthing not working is understandable, but a fan not being able to be switched off is a HUGE JOKE !!!!!!
6. Service - again a joke- upon ordering repeat orders of rotis etc during the main course, each roti came separately one after the other, leaving one person getting the second roti to eat while the other ones among us kept waiting for minutes on end for the roti !!!!!!!! the staff was not bothered at all about giving proper service/attention and had to called out LOUDLY REPEATEDLY TO EVEN ORDER ANOTHER ROTI etc.-Most of them were gathered around the tandoor and chatting among themselves !!!!!
7. Main course - was highly TIKHA, and could not be enjoyed at all - Punjabi food is bit spicy, but not really TIKHA
8. Billing - debit/credit cards not accepted !!!!!! - NOW, THIS HAS TO BE A JOKE IN TODAY'S DIGITAL WORLD - FINALLY, OUR GUESTS HAD TO PAY BECAUSE ONLY THEY HAD G-PAY etc !!!!!!!!!!

WHAT MORE CAN BE SAID ABOUT THIS...

On my 2nd visit to this place was very disappointing on 25th dec evening. The time we went there was no crowd and no question of lot of tables to attend. They surely have slow service which I also experienced on my earlier visit.

Food: The worst part comes now when I ordered Chicken Tandoori, which I got after 45min after reminding them a number of times. 3 customers who came after me got their orders before me and infact they almost finished before I got my order. Now the tandoori chicken was burnt and the marination was not done at all. It tasted like a boiled chicken just served to us. Also paneer tikka I ordered was not good at all with paneer not being moist and no good marination of the masala in it. It was an harrowing experience with o ser ice and o taste of the food at all. So I am not recommending the hotel now as they are losing the consistency in taste and service as they are getting good number of customers.

If you are looking for authentic North Indian food in Aundh and Banner area, then G-Sardar-G is the place to visit. They have amazing food with plenty of varieties. I have been so many times there. They have cool ambience and seating arrangement. They feed people with lots of affection and warmness. Owner always keeps moving making sure that everyone having a good time and enjoying the food.
