Good News Dhaba — Restaurant in Pune

I had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional North Indian food restaurant, which truly exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The ambiance, food, drinks, and service all came together to create a truly unforgettable experience.

From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the unique and traditional Punjabi village-inspired decor, complete with a truck and Royal Enfield bullet adorned with milk cans. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, making us feel right at home.

We decided to order a selection of starters, and I must say, each and every dish was absolutely delicious. The Daal Makhni was rich and flavorful, while the Tandoory Papad, made from rumali roti, was a unique and tasty twist on traditional papad.

One of the standout features of this restaurant is the innovative Chutney maker concept. We were presented with a selection of fresh and raw ingredients, including ginger, garlic, mint, coriander leaves, and chilli, along with a curd base. This allowed us to create our own custom chutney, which added a fun and interactive element to our dining experience.

The restaurant also offers an excellent selection of drinks, including a range of liquor options and a happy hour promotion that is definitely worth taking advantage of. However, it's worth noting that the options for draft beer are somewhat limited.

The service charge is a standard 10%, but the exceptional service we received made it well worth the extra cost. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure that our every need was met throughout our meal.

It was around 9 PM when we reached there and we had to wait for almost 20 minutes before we could get a place to sit. Finally after 20 mins or so we got a place for 6 of us and we order the eye catcher "Roomali Roti masala mar ke" It was a real pleasure to the pallete and we all enjoyed it. Foods that we ordered next are Amritsari Dal, Masala Murg, Roomali roti and Bharwa mirchi. All the foods that we ordered were really nice. We also ordered mocktail Blue bomber and Lassi and Cocotails like Tara rum pum, Panch Goli, Honey singh. All of them were really good as per their names. The turn down for the evening was only when both the veg and non veg item did not come together because the waiter forgot our order and he lied to us telling its coming in 2 mins. We waited for 20 more minutes with the non veg but the veg did not come and we realised it was a lie. We started questioning the guy but he was still lieing and then we asked him to call his manager and said we would like to cancel the order. We were a lot upset because the mood was turned down now. Somehow we finished our dinner and was about to leave. But to our surprise the manager came and apologized to us with the desert Pan Kulfi, Phirni and said its on the house. We were in no mood for any apologies because our evening was spoiled. But after too many requests from the management we had it and it really cheered up our mood. Accepting the mistake was the best part the management could have done and for this I did not minus any star and gave the 4 stars. One star minus is still there coz the seating arrangement was a little congested and none of the staffs know where is washroom. All in all I would recommend it is a place where you can visit...

The name is unusual, this place has tried it's best to give a feel of dhaba but I think it fails in that.. (sorry to say) The place is inside creaticity in yerwada.. It has both outside and indoor seating. Generally the place is always filled up whenever I have visited . Few things to mention, which are rare to find in any other restaurant are the USP's of this place. This place give you a tray full of different ingredients to make your own thecha as per your choice ... I have not seen this in any other place except this until now .. They have the onions which they punch and give with masalas in it and they are extremely tasty, love them thoroughly.. The ambience of this place is absolutely apt for going with family.. The service is good as well even after the place is crowded Have tried couple of dishes, but the food is quite expensive as compared to its quantity and taste in my opinion.

1. Chicken chettinadu : This is a dish with bones, good in taste but can be improved
2. Palak, makkai and cheese ke kebab : This dish is a absolutely a must try.. Loved it becoz of the garlic tinge in it which gives additional flavour to it.
3. Murg ke kebab which they make with whiskey: Good flavours but I quite dint enjoy it.
4. Mutton Biryani : This comes in a matka, good in quantity and taste as well as quality. The mutton pieces were quite soft and good to eat. Realy enjoyed this dish here.
5. Cheese garlic Naan : This is gud in taste, but I have eaten better ones .. Overall good place to hang around with group of frnds or family. It's a more family oriented place in my opinion. All...
