Titled as one of Pune’s legendary culinary landmarks, Kalyan Bhel on Law College Road offers an impeccable combination of taste, hygiene, and authenticity. The place has maintained an enduring reputation for years, with their signature Bhel, a mouth-watering riot of flavors, taking center stage. The medley of crunchy puris, spicy piquant chutney, julienned vegetables, and a finishing sprinkle of sev creates a delightful snack that hits all the right flavor notes.
The Pani Puri and Sev Puri hold their own, with every bite exploding in your mouth, creating a melange of spicy, tangy, and sweet flavors. The place also masters the art of concocting the perfect balance of spices for the pani, a trait that resonates well with the patrons.
But it's not all about the taste. The attention to cleanliness and hygiene is also commendable, particularly in these pandemic times. The staff appears to be well trained and courteous, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.
However, Kalyan Bhel could spruce up the ambiance a bit as it currently wears a rather basic look. Also, the lack of comfortable seating may deter some customers looking for a dine-in experience.
In conclusion, Kalyan Bhel carries the legacy of chaat into the hearts of Punekars with distinction, making it a must-visit for street food lovers...
Read moreMy experience at Kalyan Bhel was really good, especially because of the service. We were four friends out for a little snacky brunch. Our total bill came to ₹510. I handed over a ₹500 note while asking a friend for ₹10, but the person at the counter (seemed like the branch owner) smiled and said, “kuch nahi, it’s okay.” Such a small gesture, but it left a big impression!!
As for the food, the taste was amazing, as always. I mean, who are we kidding… it’s Kalyan Bhel! The only small hiccup was with the Jain Masala Puri I ordered. It became completely soggy before I even got to it. Still, the taste were amazinnnggg! A little more crispiness in the puris would have made it perfect.
Overall, great service, heartwarming gesture, and the classic Kalyan Bhel taste that never...
Read moreWell I have been eating at Kalyan bhel we say Prakash (owner) for last 18 years at various outlets. For those who have complain about price go to Vitthal opp. sterling Mumbai and get royally screwed. For those who call this unhygienic they have stopped giving steel spoons. Well with lesser staff they are making every best effort to serve the customers. Those who complain for parking need to charge 50 extra which they can afford at phoenix and other malls. These guys are okay to have dinner standing at a wedding reception. Now coming to quality of items. I love all of them. Ragda patis bhel spdp masala puri panipuri and utappa as well. Eatery is meant to stand and eat and not sit lavishly doing timepass...
