A couple of months ago, post 11.30pm, I had this strong urge for having an ice cream and while scanning Karve road for an open shop, I reached where I was expecting my wish to be fulfilled...

Place: Dairy don, Karve road Order: Fresh fruit double scoop sitafal ice cream. Experience: I came to this place after years. Some people might take offence, but according to me it was at par in taste with Naturals and probably a bit economical too. I was much more than happy as I was not even expecting fresh fruit Sitafal to be available in this season, let alone being this good!

I have some really fond memories of the first ever Dairy Don which is in my native place Nashik. It really used to feel like a treat 15-20 years ago. Also, after having played cricket on the playground across the road for hours, we kids use to go there just to have cold water from the dispenser!! 😁😁 So while having such a tasty and Nashik wala ice cream yesterday I was having the now famous proverbial ५६ इंच वाला सीना feeling. But then suddenly something happened that melted away this feeling.. The billing counter person asked the helper to ask the people to vacate the chairs and move out as he wanted to close the shop, even as people were enjoyong their dessert. It was really heart wrenching to see such poor hospitality on their part! The usurped were naturally and clearly amused, agitated and angry!! I mean I haven't seen any meaner shop/ hotel owner than this.. and I have been to quite some even in the Peth areas...!! I mean I agree he might have been overshooting his closing down time but then he should have realised that while taking the orders. Did he forgo the orders and the associated money? I really don't think that he had an emergency to close within minutes of taking the orders. I left the empty cup right in front of his shutter. Hope it welcomed him the...

It's one of the best ice cream I have ever tasted. I loved almost all the flavours I have tasted till now. My personal favourite is dark chocolate. Their icecream shakes are also very soothing. On the price side these items are above average price. Small single scoops comes around for 60-70 rs. But it's worth to have it once in a while. Some other interesting flavours include Black forest, coffee etc. They also have an option for sugar...

I think dairy don is company from Nashik. It's little old shop in pune. Nice shop. Here you can get icecream in cup or cone... also family pack. & milkshakes also. Nice shop to buy different types of icecream but I never tried milkshakes till. The taste is nice. Good to go. Not big shop. Also outdoor & indoor simple sitting is available.
