Kata Kirr is one of the oldest and well known Misal joints in Pune. They relocated to a bigger space near to Kamala Nehru park from the earstwhile tiny place opposite Gaware collage. Being such an old and well known Misal joint in Pune - it was really surprising to see the hosts of this branch speak in Hindi :( It's not about the language....but I felt they kind of dropped the tag of Authentic Puneri Misal. I have been regularly visiting Katakirr since over a decade and honestly felt that the taste of this particular outlet was also kinda different from the main branch of Erandwane. Katakirr is known as a place where once u start eating, u didn't have stop and look up to ask for anything. The diced onions, tari, pav and mattha would all used to be served within seconds of you finishing the ongoing one. At this outlet however, the service is slow. There are many examples in Pune where in The famous food joint has tried to expand and have open ed branches however have ended up failing.
