M.G. Road is the heart of the city and somehow I'm really fond of this street. I've been shopping, eating, roaming on these streets since I was a baby. I've almost tried all the eateries in the vicinity and the other day when I came across this new place on M.G. Road, I was keen on trying the food and stopped by immediately. So without any further ado, let's see what I had at Yumma Swami :
Malagapudi Ghee Dosa - Okay I'm not a ghee person. Like I wouldn't eat ghee at any cost but here the server assured me that this is delish stuff and I trusted the guy's recommendation and called for it. The dosa was simple yet delicious.
Ghee Masala Idli - Again I had my doubts when he suggested this one. The idli is huge. Like one huge idli with lots and lots of masala or podi on top and lots of ghee. The podi is the soul of the dish. The idli is super soft and the podi works its magic like crazy. Just add it to anything and you have a bomb.com dish ready. Loved it.
Karipatta Paniyaram - I am somehow not fond of paniyaram. And this one was loaded with karipatta and dill leaves which I am not sure if I like or no.
Mixed Veg Korma - Mixed veg korma be my favorite. This is basically veg stew loaded with veggies like carrots, beans, cauliflower. Just pair it with appam and you are good to go.
Kerala Pepper Mushroom - Addictive is the word! Mushrooms tossed with spices was simply delicious. One can just have it by itself, it's that good. A must must must try dish at Yumma Swami.
Swami Sapadam - This is a humungous thali which comes with a portion of rice, papad, achaar, sheera, chaas, beetroot bhaji, potato bhaji and lot many things. I'd recommend you to try this only if you are super hungry.
Filter Coffee Brownie - Bomb brownie with a coffee flavour topped with chocolate cream makes for an excellent dessert.
Yelneer Payasam - Payasam be my favorite ❤
Baked Badami Mango - This is basically baked yogurt with mango and topped with badam slivers. This was pretty decent.
Overall, wanna kill chhoti chhoti bhook, head to Yumma Swami. I love this place...

Read moreTo start with let me give this resturant a 5* for the food, undoubtedly among the best south idian food in Pune go to any of their branches and you will get the same unique delicious food.
Now one will wonder why I gave them 1* so this review is mainly for the resturant owner I hope they do read the reviews or else there isnt another way to put a customers feedback across their own staff isnt going to pass on their own criticism to the owner.
I usually drop in to your resturant for breakfast on weekends, even though the timing is 8.00 am onwards but at 8 am one will find only 70% of the shutter open which is a good sign the resturant isnt ready to serve to make it simple the waiter has never approached the customer before 8:15 to take the order they are still busy lighting up incense.
I see some new faces in the front end for customer service I remember the old so called manager who was also a slow motion chap and so was his supporting team, even now it feels exactly the same the current team is also slow in motion, you don:t hear them exchange words or communicate with each other at all which is another sign that there is no team play at all no one is in sync with each other they all working independantly.
If this was my resturant I would really be worried only buz I know its always a challenge to find great chefs who have ability to make exceptional food which the kitchen team certainly do, with th right team in the front end and quick service they should be having the kind of que that you find outside Vaishali on J.M Road as their food is any given day tastier than Vaishali or any other Dosa joint in city.
My only reason to write this long review is so that this message reaches the right person who will have a genuine impact and take control of the service at the resturant and I am a user and I will continue to come here only buz I...
