Blue Nile Restaurant, located in the vibrant area of Camp in Pune, is a name that resonates with food enthusiasts who crave authentic and flavorful Mughlai and North Indian cuisine. Established in the early 1950s, Blue Nile has garnered a loyal following over the decades, thanks to its consistently delicious food, welcoming ambiance, and excellent service. Upon entering Blue Nile, one is greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant boasts a spacious and comfortable dining area, with a blend of traditional and contemporary decor. Soft lighting and cozy seating arrangements make it an ideal spot for family gatherings, friendly get-togethers, or even a romantic dinner. The menu at Blue Nile is extensive, offering a wide range of dishes that cater to diverse palates. One of the star attractions is the Mutton Biryani, a fragrant and flavorful dish that combines perfectly cooked basmati rice with tender pieces of mutton, marinated in a blend of aromatic spices. The biryani here is a perfect balance of taste and texture, leaving a lasting impression on your taste buds. Another standout dish is the Chicken Reshmi Kebab, which features succulent pieces of chicken marinated in a rich, creamy blend of yogurt and spices, then grilled to perfection. For seafood lovers, the Fish Tikka is a must-try, offering chunks of fish marinated in spices and cooked to a smoky, tender finish. Vegetarians will also find plenty to love at Blue Nile. The Paneer Butter Masala, with its creamy tomato gravy and soft cubes of paneer, is a crowd favorite. The Dal Makhani, slow-cooked lentils in a rich buttery sauce, is another dish that exemplifies the restaurant’s mastery over vegetarian fare. To complement the main dishes, the restaurant offers a variety of breads, from soft, buttery naans to crisp tandoori rotis. The accompaniments like raita and chutneys add an extra layer of flavor to the meal. No meal at Blue Nile is complete without indulging in their desserts. The Shahi Tukda, a traditional bread pudding topped with rich rabri, is a sweet ending to a sumptuous meal. Service at Blue Nile is prompt and attentive. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and always ready to recommend dishes based on your preferences. Additionally, the restaurant offers efficient takeaway and delivery services, ensuring you can enjoy their delightful cuisine from the comfort of your home. In conclusion, Blue Nile Restaurant in Pune is more than just a dining establishment; it is an experience that brings together rich flavors, a comfortable ambiance, and top-notch service. Whether you are a longtime patron or a first-time visitor, Blue Nile promises a memorable culinary journey that celebrates the rich heritage of Indian cuisine.

26Jan22 It’s a not frill/no fuss, come-eat-go type place. If you are searching for Mughlai dished, its not the place for you. It’s kind of Irani-Bohri cuisine place. Neither a place to come with family for a bit of leisure time. Infrastructure: They have done major renovation. Complete modern building at the place of the old colonial type. A nice waiting area also has been included at the first floor (family area). On the 1st floors, chairs are good, but the tables are the same old ones, could see the old steel frame tables, peeping out of the tablecloths. They should change it. The table size is little less than adequate, makes it very crowded. They have added an ice cream vendor, which is the Turkey kind, playing with kids, which you see on net. Cleanliness: average. Service: Selected a used table, someone came immediately and cleaned. The way glasses were handled by waiters, holding at rim by hand, which is not acceptable. They should hold it at the mid of the body. Taking ordered was delayed. Plates were placed after the first order was served. You will see waiters, cleaning staff, supervisors (you don’t know who is who) etc etc., running around, which is not well coordinated. The management needs to think whether they want to keep it like a crowded eatery with a bit of chaos or improve upon it. Cutlery is economy type. I felt plate was a bit greasy. Valet service is good. You may have to wait a bit after 8:30 pm, crowd increases. Food: Chicken tangree kabab; Loved the dollop of fresh malai on the kabab, adequately spiced, taste was good. Just a bit undercooked, could see some red inside, near the leg joint. The leg pieces had bone portion of the rib side, without that it would be better. Chicken Biriyani: A bit oily and over masala, but not hot (chilly) . They don’t serve raita with biriyani, its chargeable. So, if you don’t want, you don’t pay for it, which would have been included into the price of biriyani otherwise. Blue Nile special chicken: Its s a cousin of Delhi Butter Chicken, mild gravy of onion and tomato with tandoori chicken pieces in it and boiled egg, with lesser tanginess of tomato. Nothing great. Salad: The sliced, garbage perhaps, was not fresh. Size of all portions is generous, and price accordingly is reasonable. Older comment: Fast service, adequate menu, tasty food. No frills

Title: A Mixed Bag of Flavors at Blue Nile, Pune Rating: ⭐⭐⭐.2 (3.2/5) Let’s dive into the review, shall we? My recent experience at Blue Nile in Pune was, well, a mixed bag of flavors. Let’s break it down. Service, Ambience, and Cleanliness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Kudos to Blue Nile for acing these aspects! The service was impeccable, the ambience was inviting, and the cleanliness was spot on. It’s rare to find such a trifecta of excellence in these categories. Now, on to the star of the show, the Mutton Biryani. This is where things get interesting. You see, the most crucial aspect of a delicious Biryani is the quality of the meat, and, dare I say, the portion of meat used. Here’s where Blue Nile faltered a bit. The portion of mutton in my Biryani was, well, underwhelming. It was like searching for treasure in a barren desert – not much to find. I might have been unlucky in receiving the mediocre portion of meat, but as they say, it’s all part of the culinary adventure. While the Mutton Biryani didn’t quite hit the mark for me, I can’t deny the effort that goes into running a restaurant for years and years. In fact, I admire Blue Nile for its dedication and hard work. They’ve built a reputation that has stood the test of time, which is no small feat in the restaurant business. It’s a testament to their commitment, and I respect that. On a lighter note, I would also like to suggest to all Puneites that if they truly want to understand the essence of Biryani, they might want to make a trip to Mumbai. After all, exploring different flavors is like embarking on a delicious journey, and Mumbai’s Biryani scene has its own unique charm. In conclusion, Blue Nile might not have wowed me with its Mutton Biryani on this particular visit, but it’s a place worth considering for its outstanding service, pleasant ambience, and cleanliness. And who knows, their other dishes might just be the hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Keep up the hard work, Blue Nile! 🍽️😊
