Overall, I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and was highly impressed with the quality of food and the ambiance of the establishment.
First and foremost, the idli and dosa I had were exceptional. The flavors were authentic and delicious, and the textures were just perfect. It was evident that great care had been taken in preparing the dishes, and I appreciated the attention to detail. The variety of chutneys and sambar provided alongside the idli and dosa complemented the flavors wonderfully.
Additionally, I must commend on the cleanliness of the restaurant. The dining area appeared spotless, and the overall hygiene standards were remarkable and gave me confidence in the quality and freshness of the ingredients used.
Furthermore, the ambiance of the restaurant was delightful. The tasteful decor, comfortable seating, and pleasant lighting created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff members were attentive, polite, and knowledgeable about the menu. Their friendly demeanor and prompt service added to the positive experience.
I will definitely be recommending to who are looking for a fantastic South Indian dining experience.
Thank you once again for providing such a memorable dining experience, and I look forward to visiting your...
Read moreNot a great experience at the iconic Coffee House, Camp.
Went there after about 6 years to have my favorite veg seekh kebab. Got a table at 1st floor instantly. What followed was a horrible experience of waiting for about 20 mins for someone to come on the table and take our order.
Food ordered and review:
🚫 Complimentary tray of onions/pickles that was kept on our table did not look hygenic 🚫
Veg Seekh Kebab: Quantity is good enough for 4. Tastes average, accompanying green chutney had a sweet taste to it which we disliked.
China Town Sizzler: This is a new item in the menu, so thought of giving it a try (we could have also tried sizzlers at iconic The Place besides coffee house but alas finding a table there on Sunday afternoon is crazy). So coming back to Sizzler here, it had schezwan rice, manchurian gravy and like 5 or 6 pieces of french fries. Rice tasted decent, manchurian was devoid of any veggies and we felt like we were having bread pieces dipped in manchurian gravy. This item can definitely be skipped.
For beverages we ordered Mango juice. On first sip I could feel i was having mango frooti with some pieces of mango in it. It was too sugary, even original devgad hapus is not this sweet lol.
Overall, tbh it was not a...
Read moreDropped in at Coffee House, Moledina Road, for a veg meal. Yeah, yeah you read right, i did say veg. 😝
We ordered two of our favourite dishes.. Hara Bhara Kabab and Paneer Piece Pickle.
The Hara Bhara Kababs were superb, as always. Potatoes, peas, cashew, sweet corn niblets and some other veggies (known to me - im guessing) are what these babies comprise of but, whatever the eff they comprise of, all i know is... They are delish!🤤
The Paneer Piece Pickle is a recent favourite. For the life of me i have no clue why it's named so. 🤦🏻♀️ We did tell them to go easy on the spice as mum can't handle very spicy food. Soft pillowy pieces of paneer, sauteed sliced onions and green bell pepper tossed in a sweet, sour & spicy sauce.
We had the kababs and paneer with butter naan and chai. Sorry, forgot to click the chai pic. 🙈
If you haven't tried these dishes at Coffee House, do so immediately. You won't regret it.
They also serve very good South Indian food. The North Indian (veg) is only available during lunch & dinner hours.
The chai & coffee served are good. Not oversweet, not bitter-strong.. just right! Been going to this place for over 35 years. I'd recommend this...
