Yesterday we visited Sukhakarta dining hall and this is my review about this dining hall. The manager and the attendants, all need better training in managing workplace. They were wearing very dirty clothes. and hall was very dirty. You could be sitting adjacent to a dustbin overflowing with tissues dirt. Aamras was unlimited but they have used caned mangoes so eat that at your own risk. They served us some white sweet item I asked him what is this and he answered that this is malai burfi.I was really very surprised ke baba malai burfy aisi hoti he kya? They were not giving any attention to their customers and were more interested in laughing amongst each other. One attendant was scratching his head and another one was wiping his nose. They have added so much soda in every item. There was a 7 young boys group and they told us that they eat 4/5 chapatis in the afternoon at home but now in just two fulkas they were done. I think in every item they literally pour soda so that you do not eat more food for the price you pay. The next morning our stomach got upset. Glass was not washed properly. I saw used paper napkin thrown everywhere. Even the saunf and khadisakhar was very dirty and there were ants in khadisakhar. Food was very tasteless and lacking Salt in practically every item. Every time we had to call the attendants as they were not interested in serving food were interested only in laughing amonst each other. I think youtube videos are paid videos. I didn't find anything up to the mark if I have a choice to review. I would give them negative stars if I could. If I'm hungry I will prefer to have bread butter jam at home then having food in sukhkarta dining hall. Oh my god it was really very horrible experience for me.
I request to management to go and have lunch in durvankur and observe what kind of food they serve and how efficiently they are able to manage everything. Just ask your waiters to wear clean clothes instead of asking them to wear dirt ridden dhotis for the sake of I don't know what!
You guys have a lot of learning to do to improve service. Don't be caught up in the fact that there is a huge line outside your hotel. Most people are just one time visitors as literally everyone was completely dissatisfied with your service and food. The food was below average and the overall experience in your hall...
Read moreI recently visited Sukhakarta Veg Thali Restaurant, and here’s my honest experience:
🍴 Food Quality
The food served here is genuinely good and worth appreciating. Each item in the thali was tasty, fresh, and well-prepared. The flavors were balanced, and the variety made the meal satisfying. A special mention to the Ukdicha Modak – it was delicious, soft, and flavorful. However, I personally feel that if it were made with jaggery, the taste would have been even more authentic and delightful. Overall, on the food front, it was a very good experience.
💰 Pricing
The thali is pocket-friendly considering the quantity and variety served. It’s good value for money and perfect for families who want a fulfilling meal without spending too much.
👨🍳 Service Experience
Unfortunately, the service was quite disappointing. The waiters were not very prompt or attentive.
We had to call the waiters 4–5 times just for one item.
Specifically, when we asked for khichadi for our 5-year-old niece, the waiter acknowledged our request, but no one came to serve it. Even after asking another waiter, the same thing happened – they said “yes” and left without serving.
Finally, after repeatedly reminding different waiters 5–6 times, we were served the khichadi.
This delay and lack of attentiveness really spoiled the otherwise good dining experience. For a restaurant serving families, such service can be frustrating, especially when food is being requested for a child.
✅ Overall Verdict
Food: Tasty, fresh, and satisfying ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
Ukdicha Modak: Good, but could be better with jaggery ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
Service: Needs serious improvement ⭐⭐☆☆☆
Pricing: Very reasonable ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
👉 Final Thoughts: Sukhakarta Veg Thali Restaurant is definitely a good choice for delicious and affordable vegetarian food. If they improve their service and train waiters to be more attentive, it can become an excellent...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Sukhkarta Pure Veg Dining Hall, and it was an experience worth sharing. If you're someone who enjoys traditional Indian thalis with a festive touch, this is the place to visit!
The restaurant offers an unlimited thali that features a wide range of pure vegetarian dishes, freshly prepared and served piping hot. The variety is impressive — from fluffy chapatis, puris, and bhakris to rich sabzis, comforting dal, kadhi, rice, and tasty farsan.
But what truly sets this place apart? Unlimited Modaks! Yes, you read that right — they serve unlimited modaks, and they are absolutely delicious! Soft, sweet, and perfectly steamed, the modaks add a festive and devotional feel to the meal, especially for those who associate them with Lord Ganesha. It’s rare to find a restaurant that offers this kind of unique addition in their thali.
The service is outstanding — warm, polite, and always attentive. The staff goes out of their way to ensure your plate is never empty. The ambiance is simple, clean, and family-friendly, and the hygiene standards (including handwashing and toilets) are well maintained.
Great for families, group meals, or a hearty solo treat. Extremely value-for-money for the quality and quantity served.
Recommended for anyone craving a traditional Maharashtrian or festive-style thali. Don’t miss this hidden gem if you're in the area — and don’t forget to save room for...
