This review is based on only one visit that didn't went smooth and added some little disagreement with the manager. We used our Gold membership here and we're denied the privilege on desserts. Their point was desserts are their special menu. I agree to the terms and gold is not valid on special menus. I agree. But then, if your name "Sugar Patisserie" explains it a desserts fav house then how can all the desserts be on special menu? If you are famous for cakes desserts pastries then there should be some or few that could be included in gold approved menu. This was the only thing that disturbed the experience.
Moving on,
We had " Eggs your way" added on with cheese and chicken. Heaven. I always prefer scrambled eggs over foldovers. It was juicy, perfectly cooked and the add on's did their job seamlessly. Served with four pieces of bread toast. Perfect for a quick recharge.
Chicken club sandwich was also good. It was heavy! Fresh and juicy. Bread was soft and the sauce was terrific. Served with fries.
The pastries here are damn good. They are little dryish. Not all. But I felt like. But the taste is all worthy. Sinful chocolate pastry is way too good. Must try.
Coming to ambience, its pleasant and feels good to be here. Spacious seating with ample outdoor seatings preferable in the evenings. The AC inside was a bit let down. It was insufficient for the scortching...
Read moreI had come here on a Sunday morning for breakfast with a voucher that I had purchased from the Little app. The cafe has ample arrangements outdoors as well as indoors. The decor is very nice and cozy and it is the kind of place where you'd want to sit and spend some time doing your work or with someone. So, I decided to get myself one of their sandwich combos. They let you pick your items in the combo. It consisted of a drink, a sandwich, and a dessert. And thus, I chose Passion Fruit Iced Tea, Chicken Pita Pockets, and Triple Layer Choc Mousse Pastry to complete my combo.
The passion fruit iced tea was good and a refreshing drink to have along with the chicken pita pockets which are pita bread made into pockets and stuffed with chicken and topped with mayonnaise served with a side of fries, salad (with balsamic vinegar based dressing, I assume) and some hummus with paprika. It was really good and tasty and the portion size was quite good. The sides served along with it were good as well. After finishing the pita pockets, I got my dessert. It looked beautiful the way it was served. And it was delicious and would make you crave more.
Overall, the place is awesome. It certainly would look splendid in the evening with all the lighting arrangements. The food and drinks were good and worth the price. The service was also good. There are books and board games in the...
Read moreThe name of this place enticed me to drop in. That and the outside tables. It's cute and trendy, with amusing cartoons and witty dessert-related sayings on the wall, and a unique wooden circular hanging bookshelf at the entrance with games and books (see my photos below).
And to my joy, Wild Sugar has a little corner hideaway with only 2 tables -- perfect for hibernating, for those of us who appreciate doing that. It helped offset the pop music, which had a bit more of a beat and volume than I'd have preferred. I was so hidden that it took awhile for the waiter to discover me there!
Their cappuccino was quite good. Their paneer tikka kulcha was fantastic -- yummy and plentiful, on a grilled bun. It was topped off to my surprise by several "sides" that I wish had been mentioned on the menu: french fries (which I'm not supposed to eat, but they weren't too greasy) and a small tasty salad with vinaigrette dressing, served on a cute little black square tray (see my photo below). Both items were very reasonably priced. I hope Wild Sugar can continue offering such...
