I had ordered a sandwich, and it took about 30 mins to arrive. The lady at the counter apologised for the delay, and said that she will give us a complementary macaron. I thought that it was kind of her and thanked her… and she brought me a “broken” macaron, which, I am sure, she would have discarded. Imagine how pathetic that is. The delay wasn’t really a big deal but being served something that she would have probably thrown in thrash was just insulting. In all fairness, the sandwich was delightful.
Full points for the chef, and zero for the customer service mentality, by the lady at the counter, who, if I’m not wrong is the proprietor.
—- Edit: reply to the owners reply
In reply to your claim that I’ve never visited your restaurant. = I used to live in the apartment next to your cafe, and I’ve visited multiple times. My last visit was few months ago, so I would not expect you to remember me since you see so many customers, but I certainly remember you. You wear glasses and have a “soul patch” beard. I also remember you telling me that the chef (or your main chef) is related to you (sister, if I remember correctly).
In reply to your claim that I’ve given you a “fake review” = My review is very elaborate. You really think that I could make up something so specific? The incident happened just once and you were not around. By “you” I am assuming that I am talking to the male owner with the glasses and soul patch.
I am taking the time to write all of this because I specifically remember the incident even after few months. This is because when the lady offered me a macaron I was glad and didn’t really know that it was not supposed to be broken, coz it was my first time having a macaron and I thought that that’s how it is served. Imagine how stupid I felt after I realised that your gesture that I believed was kind, was in fact insulting. The macaron was ok to taste but the emotion behind the offer...

What we tried?
Desserts - • Macaroons- They have an incredible range of flavours and the prices here are very reasonable. I tried their blueberry and coffee flavour macaroon. Soft from the outside and flavorful from the inside is what I can say! • Banana Nutella Cheesecake - This is their signature dish which is a very unique flavour that they have introduced. It was real soft and it literally had banana pieces inside, which made it even more extraordinary! This was one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had! • Hazelnut cheesecake- hazelnut has always been my favorite, and this one was up to the mark!
Food - • Started off with some garlicky spaghetti Aglio e olio. It had the perfect flavour and spice with lots of veggies, with garlic bread on the side. • Chilli Cheese toast- They were perfectly crispy and cheesy. Served with mayo and sauce, they were very well presented! • Veggie Burger- The buns were amazingly soft and the patty tasted well! They serve burgers with fries on the side. The quantity is great as well.
• Drinks- They serve iced teas, coffee, shakes, etc at a very reasonable price.
• Ambience - This is a small cafe yet very welcoming with its pretty interiors. They have an indoor seating arrangement with a peaceful atmosphere.
If you have a sweet tooth and are looking for a calm place, make sure you...

Food and Drinks: The menu is diverse and caters to various tastes. I tried the house special latte, which was perfectly brewed and had a delightful hint of vanilla. The pastries are fresh and delicious. They also offer a range of sandwiches and burgers which looked very appetizing.
Service: The staff at Ambrozia Cafe are friendly and attentive. They made sure my order was correct and served promptly. The barista even took the time to recommend some of their favorite drinks, which I appreciated.
Pricing: The prices are reasonable for the quality of food and drinks offered. It's a bit on the higher side compared to chain cafes, but the unique experience and quality make it worth it.
