Read moreMahesh Lunch Home As we all know Mahesh Lunch Home is known for its seafood dishes. They have newly opened their second outlet in Pune at Viman Nagar. The outlet is spacious and the ambience is decent. This place is perfect for family lunch/dinner. The staff here is cooperative and the service is timely which is appreciable. We started with warm and comforting seafood soup, which was highly nourishing and light on the stomach. Winters demand such healthy soups to keep the body warm. So do give it a try. Bbq chicken salad comprised of tender chicken chunks rightly cooked in bbq sauce, veggies, cherry tomatoes, and sauces were drizzled on top. The sweet and spicy taste was enjoyable. In appetizers, we had Bombay duck fried which was a total win for me, as the crispy outer covering and tender fish inside made it a perfect dish was tasted well with the green chutney served. So the chutney complemented the fish. Do give it a try. Veg crispy I had here was the best I had in Pune. When I say this you don't need a detailed review just visit them and dive straight into it. Fish koliwada could have been better as the outer fish coating was thick and had no particular taste as such. In the main course, we devoured fish pulimunchi (baby pomfret) with neer dosa and Malabari paratha. This Mangalorean special dish has a distinctive sour and hot taste as tamarind is added to it and is cooked in a blend of spices. One can enjoy it with rice, flatbread or dosa. We ended our meal on a sweeter note by having caramel custard which was soft and had the right balance of sweetness.
We had a great experience here. If you have made it here then don't miss this place and...

Learnt from our visit of 11Feb and ordered cautiously keeping in mind the big portions. Moktails, Beer, Golden Fried Prawns (excellent, mildly flavoured), Rawas masala fry (tongue ticking good), Prawn Goan curry (super), Chiken kuttu roti (daughter's favorite) accompanied by mix of Neer dosa, Appam and Malabar parathas. Loved every bit of all the items served. For some reason today, service was slow, leading to patient waits at the table which did not spoil our mood. A very satisfying dinner. Thanks once again Ayush. You are the best. 1st Post of 11Feb23: Having read good reviews, and upon recommendations from friends, I along with my wife, sister & brother-in-law went to MLH on 11Feb23 for the first time. Surprisingly, the restaurant was not crowded. We started by ordering beer & mocktails. Thanks to Ayush for helping us decide the starters and the main course. Relished the Pomfret, Surmai, Appam, Neer dosa, Malabar paratha & rice. Soon realised that we had ordered too much. But not to worry. We will be visiting MLH...
