I recently visited Swaad Restaurant and opted for their fixed meal, which turned out to be a delightful experience from start to finish. The meal was thoughtfully curated, beginning with a warm, flavorful soup that set the perfect tone.

The starters followed, offering a nice variety of textures and spices — crispy, fresh, and bursting with authentic Indian flavours. Each dish had a distinct taste, showing great attention to seasoning and balance. The main course was equally impressive, with a generous spread of vegetarian curries, dal, fragrant rice, and soft Indian breads. Everything was well-prepared, and the spice levels were just right — flavorful without being overpowering.

To end the meal on a sweet note, the pan-flavoured ice cream was light and satisfying, the perfect finale to a rich meal.

Apart from the food, what really stood out was the hospitality. The female host welcomed us with genuine warmth and made sure we were comfortable throughout. I had to visit this place alongwith 16 of my office colleagues on 7.3.25 as part of the city tour package booked thru Ashapura Tours and Travels. The Bus driver and Sanjay (city palace approved tour guide) took us there (because they have some commercial tie up). The rates were actually quite exorbitant. Lassi was for Rs 200 and butter milk Rs 150! Certainly not worth the money. There are other better and reasonable restaurants but because we got tricked unknowingly we had no choice. The restaurant staff had to be told even to switch on the AC, provide tissue paper etc. The jain food was served after all the non-jain people has completed their food (after waiting for almost 45 min). While we were 17 of us, they billed us for 18 plates. Due to some confusion we paid. Upon reconciliation and bringing it to their notice later, the manager was unwilling to refund stating frivolous reasons like the guide also ate food (why should we pay for the guide?
