IL FORNAIO PIZZERIA — Restaurant in Rajasthan

Realized I hadn't posted a review of my fave Pushkar Resto... so doing it now.

We ate here repeatedly in October 2022 during our 10-day stay. Mmmmm... the best food and service in Pushkar. Loved it!

Much of the menu comes from their nearby organic farm -- just ask what is freshest that day and enjoy. Super salads. Fresh hot breads. The handmade pastas with 'stuffings' were incredible!!! At a price that would make an Italian weep! Wow! Value!

Sadly, no alcohol on premises - and smokers poluted the place even tho it says 'NO SMOKING'. Not sure about foreign credit cards either.

Still, for fantastic fresh Italian and great Indian too -- at very nice prices - you can't...

We came for the vegan options and tried pizza with vegan cheese broccoli cauliflower al forne, also with vegan cheese. The dough of the pizza is rather dry, so it wasn’t my favourite, the vegan cheese was really really nice though. Could have been more on the pizza considering surcharge and dryness of the doughy, but I understand that vegan cheese can be more expensive to make. The al forne dish was simple but nice. The prices were rather high for vegan options but the young guy serving us made up for everything - he was especially attentive, checked in on us regularly and went out of his way to make it a great experience (eg offering more fresh basil...

Il Fornia truly delivers a slice of heaven! 🍕 I ordered their wood-fired Margherita and it was absolutely perfect – the crust was thin, crispy, and slightly charred in the best way, with fresh mozzarella and flavorful tomato sauce that tasted homemade.

The ambiance is cozy and stylish, and the staff is super friendly and attentive. You can tell they care about quality and customer experience. Also loved the garlic bread and the signature dip!
