Extremely Disappointing Experience - Unprofessional and Unacceptable
Our group of 50 guests had a pre-reserved, fixed menu with high expectations for a smooth, enjoyable evening. Unfortunately, what transpired was a complete disaster that left us all deeply disappointed. Despite careful planning in advance, the service was utterly chaotic, disorganized, and painfully slow. Some of our dishes took over an hour to arrive, and the delays seemed endless.
It was beyond frustrating to see other guests who arrived after us being served before our group, making the entire experience feel like an afterthought. The lack of coordination and communication from the staff was appalling, and not once did anyone come to apologize for the continuous delays.
To make matters worse, the quality of the food did not match the hype. Dishes were cold, poorly presented, and clearly not prepared with the care or attention we expected. What should have been a special evening for a large group turned into a stressful, uncomfortable, and thoroughly disappointing event.
For a restaurant that claims to handle large parties, their incompetence in doing so was glaringly obvious. I would strongly advise against booking for large groups or special occasions—this experience was a far cry from what we anticipated and paid for.
The staff behavior agitated the matter further when he served desserts right after the soups saying it was already prepared so pls consume ... also they were not at all supervising the tables that one pasta dish came to my table 11 times and few dishes which were in our pre-order dint reach the table anytime till we paid the bills ...
highly dissatisfied, the F&B manager was not present, i guess they dont have any... the F&B director dint bother to check things at rooftop... he came when one og the member took his number from GOOGLE. the staff dint allow us to call him either and pushed member aside saying "TIME WASTE MAT KARO MERA KAAM KARNE DO"... though his job was to serve and handle the party which he was not doing since 2-3 hours ...
welcome drink was not served to all, guests have to stand for 60 min to wait for table that too when the party for 50 pax was already planned and booked well in advance. the course of serving the dishes was not bothered bringing desert right after soups, bring same dishes 11 times to a table and skipping other table.
Prioritizing ala carte and walk in guest over the gathering. TOTAL WASTE ... SO AVOID this place to host big gatherings... they dont have necessary skill to handle...
Read moreTaro ..I am Regular visitor to udaipur from Bangalore. Generally when I visit I stay with my cousins..this time I chose to stay in hotel parallel near Sahelion ki Badi. Though I visited udaipur end number of times I could not find one proper Pub. When I entered to parallel I was shocked to see such a nice Pub called Taro on roof top @ 11th floor. The ambience is equalent to bangalore pubs and the view you get to see from Taro is amazing. The entire Fateh sagar is visible from trao rooftop bar.i stayed in parallel for almost good four days for only one reason that Taro was on rooftop. Not to forget the pretty hostess miss Shivani singh @ Taro ..she is just amazing girl. She was just available for me everytime I needed something and she would made sure that my stay comfortable .she welcomes you with full of energy with lovely smile. During my Taro visit as I was resident.. she made sure that I get what ever I wanted in no time be it table or drinks or food. Lovely to see such a young person working hard and making sure that taro does well. I have special regards for shivani for making my stay comfortable and memorable. Thank you...
Read morePerched in the heart of Udaipur, Taro Sky Bar and Lounge is a stunning rooftop escape that makes a strong first impression. With sweeping city views and thoughtfully designed interiors, the vibe and ambience are truly outstanding — effortlessly blending elegance with a relaxed, upscale feel.
From the menu, the Taro Asparagus Maki was just about average, but the Trio Chilli Cheese Dimsum stood out — flavorful, well-balanced, and perfectly steamed. The Bruschetta was another unexpected winner, with fresh ingredients and a satisfying crunch.
A special mention goes to their cocktails, which were simply amazing — well-crafted, refreshing, and a perfect complement to the rooftop setting. Whether you’re into classics or creative mixes, the bar doesn’t disappoint.
Service-wise, there’s some room for improvement. While the staff was polite, they seemed slightly undertrained for a space aiming for a premium experience. With a bit more polish on the service front, Taro could truly shine.
Still, Taro is a highly recommended spot in Udaipur — especially for the ambience, great drinks, and a few standout bites. Worth a visit for a memorable evening...
