Salam Thattukada is a hidden gem in Kochi that offers good food at reasonable prices, accompanied by amazing service. It's important to note that it tends to get crowded after 9 PM, so plan accordingly. However, the crowd is a testament to the exceptional quality of the food. We tried a variety of dishes, including porotta, beef chaps, kappa Biryani, pothu kaal, and Afgani chicken, and were impressed by both the quantity and quality. This diner maintains high standards across the board. If you have late-night cravings, Salam Thattukada is a must-visit.
While finding a parking space can be challenging, the lively atmosphere during late hours compensates for it. Once seated, the service is quick and efficient, catering to the enthusiastic crowd. The food is served hot and comes at affordable prices, without compromising on taste. This place is highly recommended to satisfy your midnight cravings.
Salam Thattukada is a haven for non-vegetarian food lovers, offering a wide range of dishes from tea to dum biryani that are available until dawn. The restaurant boasts an extensive menu with high-quality and flavorful options. It's the ideal spot for a late-night thattukada experience, although be prepared for potential waiting times due to the constant influx of customers. Nonetheless, ample seating facilities are available.

Read moreAlways wanted to visit this place as I used to see huge crowd both seated inside and outside (even on the pavement). This place is now functioning in a makeshift place as their original place has been acquired by Kochi metro. Their new dining area is getting ready on the adjacent side. Since it is makeshift, you may not find the place clean or well lit. The kitchen is well lit and you can see how your food is being prepared.
Ordered beef roast, chicken fry, parotta, and puttu. The beef roast and parotta were average. The chicken was deep fry and hence a little hard, but the flavor of masala was great, loved it ❤️ Puttu was super soft.
The way they served the food hot is really appreciated, which even some of the good restaurants don't.
Waiting for their new dining area to get functional to visit again.
Service was quick and courteous. Parking on road side. Open only in...
Read morePlace is good and food is OK. The only concern we had is their service. During our second visit, we struggled to find a table and chose to sit in the section at the right end side on entry. This section is divided by few metal rods and a few stairs (as shown in picture). We usually order the drink late and after starting to eat we were told that they don’t serve soft drinks form the shop in that section. When asked why and also after informing that we did receive drinks on table last time while sitting on another table, the waiter said that’s coz you sat in the other section closer to payment counter. Weird reason, but yea, arguing with a food server isn’t the best idea, so we left it there, finished food, came out and ordered our drinks separately. Weird experience, but worth remembering while...
