One of the main known good restaurants provides Briyani items in Vellore (A 10X10 room on the ground floor) and the other one on the first floor. It is located inside the old bus stand, so there is no separate car parking over there, you have to park your four wheelers nearby without disturbing any one. Actually I have studied my UG Degree in Voorhees College in 1996 and at that time, This restaurant was introduced by one of my classmates and we used to go there once we wanted to have Briyani. Wonderful taste...and they provide briyani for a reasonable price as well as good taste. I felt that to bring my wife as well as my daughter to this restaurant. They have two types of Biriyani only, no other starters or Chinese items like fried rice or something like noodles or chilli chicken 🐔. This restaurant provides only Briyani items as well as Kushka. They have a quarter as well as a half plate size of briyani. We have ordered half plate chicken 🍗 briyani. They put banana leaf 🍀 and immediately provided the Briyani. The aroma and smell was too good. We are very happy and mesmerized while taking the first bit of Briyani mixed with brinjal gravy. The gravy was good and very tasty 😋 we loved a lot. The rice cooked well and the masala mixed with chicken wonderfully....we totally fell by its taste. My daughter who is 10 years old will not have Briyani if not a good aroma as well as taste. She very much appreciated the taste of briyani and she loved it a lot....again she likes to have a little more briyani to have, so we have ordered another quarter 1/4. She took that too...we came out of the Amma Briyani Restaurant full of satisfaction and happy, ok we had a good meal. While coming back to Chennai my daughter repeated many times....அப்பா ஒரு பார்சல் வாங்கி இருக்கலாமோ....! அந்த சுவை என் நாக்கிலே இருக்குப்பா.... untill we reach to Chennai, definitely we will plan again to visit this restaurant to have Briyani soon or we use to go our native by this way only, on that time definitely we will come and have the Briyani. Note:--- 1/2 plate Briyani is enough to have for one person. If you want to have more they have the option, so eat well and taste your favourite food on the go....live to eat....eat...

I am a local here. This restaurant WAS once famous for briyani in the entire Vellore region. Because then, you hardly get tasty Briyani anywhere! So it was popular back then! But now, they just give an affordably priced, but an average briyani which you can get even at a road side stall these days. People who have eaten in this place 10-20 yrs before know that the tatse, quality and value has gone down over the years. People who are just new to this place and never had a good briyani in their lifetime may appreciate this place!

And they will never care for reviews like these because they are located in a prime location which will attract lots & lots of crowds no matter what they serve! There are many new restaurants who serve better tasty Briyani in Vellore. And I still say, Vellore is one of the best place to eat a tasty Briyani in TN after Ambur or Arcot!

Pro Tip - If you somehow got here to eat, better try chicken briyani...
