CAHYO ~ garden restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

My Dad and I had recently been in RS.Puram for some shopping and we were starving around 2:30pm. So we headed to Cahyo, the garden cafe for lunch which was in the parallel road of where we were had gone to shop. As we walked inside we were in awe of what a beautiful place it was. With so much green and lush around the dining area, it felt like we were somewhere at the outskirts of the city. The ambiance was classy, elegant and posh! We ordered for the following items and here's a detailed review of the same,

Ferrero Rocher Thickshake - This shake, a smooth blend of Ferrero rocker chocolates & fresh French vanilla ice cream was like a holy drink to cool the body down on a sweltering hot afternoon. It was velvety and rich. Tasted absolutely right, with the perfect amount of sweetness, neither ice nor sugar added!

Chicken wings - With the right amount of spices, it was served hot & crisp with their homemade mayo. It was a perfect starter for our late lunch. The sauce used was juicy and so tasty. The meat was tender and had the right blend of tanginess and spiciness. The garnishing was faultless.

Wood Fired BBQ chicken pizza - A very light, thin crust pizza with Barbecued chicken chunks, red & yellow bell peppers, gerkins, onions, mouth watery sauce and cheese. It was ummmmm, sooo delicious!!! Wasn't very cheesy, it had the right amount of everything which makes it extra good!

Pork Ribs - I don't eat pork but my dad does, so he wanted to try it here. Pork is normally slow cooked for hours without any flavour or oil as it has its own oil. The taste of the pork depends completely on the way it's prepared. Here, their chef has the knack for it and has prepared it so well, just the way it should be prepared. Dad described the meat to be tender; and as he prefers it little spicier and flavourful he added some chilli flakes to it. Its served with corn & potatoes. A wholesome meal I must say!

Minty Cucumber Cooler - What a refreshing drink, it was so pure, fresh & had absolutely no sugar in it. Its a divine blend of cucumber, mint leaves & honey. I had a pretty bad cold and was coughing so much that afternoon but it stopped right after having this drink. It was absolutely heavenly!!

Corn & Spinach Bake - This was my most favourite of all as it was extremely light, cheesy & super yum! The portion was so big yet you don't feel stuffed after eating this. I normally like the vegetarian food a tad bit more than the meat so I relished this one so much! It was served with their super crisp garlic breads, tasted so so yummy!

Passionfruit Pannacotta - Oh boy! Where do I even begin with, their pannacotta was so fluffy and airy that it was juggling beautifully when shaken. Served beautifully with an eye appealing plating, it only had the sweetness of the milk and nothing else. A Must try for those who don't prefer very sweet sugary desserts!!

This place is a MUST visit for those who prefer a relaxed meal in a cosy atmosphere! Its very spacious and their alfresco area is beautiful for evenings! Can't wait to take my sister here who'd love these...

The ambience of the cafe was good that’s why the one star ….. They did not treat us very well , told us the cafe will be open by 6pm and 6.30 only they will take orders . We reached there around 5.45pm . Asked them if we could wait until they open but they did not allow us to wait . Asked them if we could make a reservation they dint allow us as they said it will get crowded so they will not take reservations

We came back around 6.20pm …. There were few tables free outside but did not allow us to sit there as they said it was reserved , I wonder how they were reserved as they did not take a reservation from us . So asked us to sit inside and they also provide a condition that we can sit anywhere but the orders will be taken from the right corner of the cafe . When it was time for our order they told us to order everything together else their kitchen cannot handle later orders.

We ordered peri peri fries , cheese garlic bread , aloo Tikki burger , panner tikka pizza , paneer corn dog ,eggplant parmigiana and Oreo shake

The fries were good , cheese garlic bread tasted awful the cheese was old and did not even taste well on top of that they burnt the bread, aloo tikki burger was very bland , pizza was okayish , paneer corn dog was good but the mayo was not good did not go well with it , eggplant parmigiana was good but the portion was very less for the price they charge , Oreo shake was good

Overall the food was overrated and overpriced . You pay so much and it does not satisfy your appetite taste wise and portion wise . Nailing the fries alone doesn’t make the cafe a hit .

I keep wondering how it’s crowded when they provide food this way . Please avoid this cafe if you are looking for good food . There are plenty options...

Visited this place after seeing the reels of Instagram influencers. Disappointed would be an understatement. We ordered Paneer Corndogs, Paprika Onion Rings,White Shroom Pizza,Pink Pasta, Egg Plant Parmigiana,Cahyo Chicken Burger, Paneer Tikka Pav sliders & Cheese garlic bread.

Most of the dishes had a very bad odour as if it was rotten/expired. Especially the White Shroom pizza which had a very bad smell and equally rotten taste . The mushroom seemed to be old and tasted awful. We couldn't even eat one piece of it and complained to the staffs. We returned the pizza and ordered another Pizza (Veg garden pizza). This was better than the previous one but the corn used in the pizza had a bad taste and seemed to be old. Same goes with the cheese garlic bread and Chicken Burger. The cheese tasted old and bad. This restaurant seems to be using old /expired products because bad taste/smell was present in most of the dishes.

The other dishes were mediocre at best.

Service was also poor.They took a lot of time to serve the food. Also though we ordered Paneer tikka Pav sliders we were served chicken tikka pav sliders.

Desserts were also not available.Though the owner was sweet and offered us an complementary tea for the mishaps, we did not have an good experience.

The quantity of food provided for the cost is not sufficient and taste is way too average for the cost.

I usually don't write anything bad in reviews but this was one of the worst dining experience we've ever had.
