This was during a weekday.. the standard has declined drastically over the years.. food was stale, gravy had no taste & suffered stomach upset due to this food.
I do know my way around food. The pav bhajji felt slimy & smelled mildy stale, starting stage of rot.. that happens when the cooked potato or veggies goes bad/ not reheated on time. Are u saying that after I place the order for my chaat platter, u wash veggies, boil/steam them, squash them, grind fresh paste of onion & tomato, Sautee till oil oozes out, add masalas, squashed veggies & bring them to boil & serve??? The next dish was Veg Galouti Kebab. Total of 6 pieces. Here I believe your food was made fresh. Infact it was too fresh that we could taste the uncooked mashed mixture instead of a cooked kebab. We were 1st given 5 on the platter as it was taking too long. I think they burnt 1 piece badly, so delivered it on 2nd plate. It was raw in the middle. Some kebabs in the 1st plate were slightly burnt too still dint get cooked properly. Looks like your chef needs to learn about proper temperature control because not 1 piece of kebab was done well.
This is not my 1st rendezvous with pav bhajji or Galouti kebab. I have tasted them many times before & at many restaurants. If a customer is coming up with such a feedback, u should look into your food prep seriously.
I had given your hotel 4 star earlier. Been to your hotel 5 to 6 times before this disappointing incident. I had to change it after your food gave me stomach upset. I dint eat any food 3 hrs prior or after the dinner. Clearly other factors were not involved. I urge you to look into your kitchen & its working. Your quality is compromised & its time u look into it. We as customers deserve better.
Also, I had given this same comment in your feedback receipt, u should take a look.
It's appalling to me when u r repeatedly implying that FYI, it's fresh... didn't I state that your kebab was UNDERCOOKED as your FRESH food was raw in the middle & burnt on the outside?? The pav bhajji gravy was NOT FRESH, I stand by my word no matter what u say, how many times u say it. I faced health issue because of your food... if you want to run ur hotel in denial, it is ur choice. As a customer I can only share what I experience, not what u want me to say. I have clearly shared what went through. It's your call to look into ur kitchen or carry on with the same. Pls stop FYIing.. you can take my information or leave it at that.. thank you... š
P.S to other ppl reading my review and thinking why is she getting this riled up - this is the 3rd time I'm editing my review & each time the hotel answers FYI, our food is fresh instead of taking accountability... it's like whatever I'm saying is false.. done with...

Had they not cheated me, I would have given a different rating. They kept a water bottle with a label Four Cups printed on it and it doesn't have a our normal mineral water bottle shape. So, I thought this is their style of keeping the normal water as every restaurant has come up with their own style of jug. When I asked for some more water, the waiter brought another bottle and asked my permission to open it and at that time only I realised it's not a regular water (though it's tasted like a regular water). I called the manager and asked how do I know it's a mineral water. He said that sir if you turn the water bottle somewhere in the bottom in very small letters it's been mentioned (the lighting was low and I couldn't read it even after he told me). My question is why do you keep a normal water bottle without explicitly mentioning it as a mineral water and allow the customers to use it unknowingly and charge them for it????
First of all every restaurant is obligated to give potable water for their customers unless they demand for a mineral water bottle. It should not be other way around.
Update-1 to reply the response :
I have posted the pictures of those bottles. Do you expect the customer to read that minutely printed pricing label in the dark lighting?. Good that I kept those 2 bottles with me and in that one of them didn't even have that label. I am pretty sure that you would say the label would have gotten erased.
The bottle was designed intentionally to hide the seal from the customer so that one cannot tell whether it is sealed or not. You can fill the water from the RO machine and keep it closed.
You did the same thing of giving justifications instead of trying to address the customer concerns when I spoke to you in the restaurant and you are repeating the same here.
Update-2 to reply: If I do a business, I will hear the customer concern and try to resolve it instead of keep arguing, posting your imaginations and trying to be over smart.
Why don't you tell what kind of actions that you will be taking to address the concern instead of just giving lame excuses.
Update - 3 to reply: I know it's not a concern for you at all because your objective is met. As I looked in to other betterment reviews, your replies doesn't seem to have any intention of hearing customers concern and trying to address them ever. You will have a tough time if you are not changing this attitude. On a lighter note, "One Water Bottle" name suites best instead of "Four Cups" :) for your restaurant. I know you will have time to reply...

Today we tried our first family dine-in after the second lockdown has been lifted and I must say it was worth the wait. We were a party of four including a Kid. So we had to choose food that was on both extremes of the spice palette. So we started off asking for a tasty yet ānon-hotā starter options.
The person who helped us pick did not bat an eye-lid and suggested the lotus stem in sweet chilli sauce. True to his suggestion, it was not hot despite its name and looked delicious. As I heard my teeth crunch the slices of stem, I felt the mix of sauce and blend of spice ooze with the accentuated flavour from roasted sesame seeds. It was a treat for the senses. I am not going to talk about the soup, but the American Corn Cheese Balls are something to dwell upon. I thought they were going to serve some defrosted RTE or fried ready to cook kind. But this was handcrafted. The wafer thin batter coating hid a tasty mix of flour, potato and cheese blessed with the sweetest of soft boiled corn. The Guntur Podi Idly was fighting the best options from any Andhra restaurants. The gun powder base was giving it the bang it deserves. The caramelized onions with flakes of chilly kept me going for more until I realized that I was not through to entrƩe yet. When my Mom ordered Dahi idly I thought it was some kind of Dahi vada drenched in curd and topped with Kara Boondi. But when it arrived, I realized that the fusion of chaat with South Indian was truly mesmerizing. I knew that the Thai Red Curry was on its way before it arrived. The aroma of Lemon Grass and Coconut was in a perfect ratio that I was drooling before our friend who was helping us serve left the table. I am glad he did not turn back after he left, he would have seen me dive into the red curry and slurp like mad. Brownie and Curd Rice were OK. But the curd rice could have had softer rice. It felt coarse like leftover rice, but it could also be because it was Basmati. The carrot halwa was not so great. The service was awesome. From taking the table booking to serving the mouth fresh friendly banter, polite suggestions, patient explanation of the menu items and courage to accept mistakes in orders if it happened, all made me believe that they are in it for the long run. They love what they doing and I loved them for it.
Come Purattasi, I have another place added to my vegetarian options. It is a great boutique restaurant with good service and the charm of a friendly...
