Vegetarian restaurant chain that offers North Indian, Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean cuisine. Some dishes are Mexican but mentioned under Italian sub-heading in the menu. That is ok I guess. They have a Fondue starter as well. Options aplenty. Taste is okayish. Defenitely cannot be called Yum! Lot of cheeses. There is a difference in having the right ingredients and the right flavor profile. They seem to have the right ingredients, but flavor profile is little lacking. May be seasoning should be looked at. Some dishes sound great on the menu and look great too, but due to this flavor profiling and lack of right amount of ingredients and seasoning, they stand out as a mere normal food. For example we ordered a fancy Cheese started that turned out to be nothing but a Cheese sandwich just cut in circles. If they can concentrate on enhancing this, I am sure that is their USP, it can be better. Ambience needs improvement. Lighting is ok, but the arrangement of the tables look too open and not cozy and compact to say it as great or fine dining restaurant. The staff needs to be taught Tamil or English. They seem to lack even basic words and keep talking in Hindi. That...
ย ย ย Read moreWe have visited Jalpaan several times before this one time when i had placed an order for a takeaway!!! What I wanted to highlight was the way they accepted my request and prepared the dish exactly like how my family wanted!!๐My father had undergone a surgery( 3 months ago )for a small tumour removal in his mouth... and for a long time he could barely eat even normal homemade food.... so i was very pleasantly surprised when he agreed to eat food from Jalpaan...hence we placed an order for an absolutely non spicy malai paneer tikka specifically made for him ... to my utter delight, they made it EXACTLY like how we had requested!!๐๐๐And every other time that we had eaten before, we have always thoroughly enjoyed the food, the calming ambience, the excellent service with a smile from their staff ... all at quite a reasonable price!!! Thank you so much, Team Jalpaan!!! ๐Keep up your...
ย ย ย Read moreLove this place ... Best vegetarian fine dining.... Things we tried were Broccoli cheese soup, jappaanel fries, jalpaan platter, dum aaloo corn biriyani, and rainbow icecream cake...
Broccoli soup here was the best I ever had in my life. It had Perfect balance of blended broccoli and the sourness of cheese. The fries with the paprika spicy sweet mayonnaise was another surprise. Absolutely loved it. The veg platter being their signature dish, was nice and an absolute delight to look at. With the delicious component like alloo and corn, the biriyani was a bit of a bummer. If it wasn't for the raita, the whole plate could have gone waste. The rainbow icecream cake was nutty with mixed flavours of icecream... I enjoyed it though it was a bit of syrupy flavoured.... Overall a must visit place... And I would return again to try out the...
