Hotel is located at the heart of Coimbatore- RS Puram. Newly built and very well maintained.
Parking facility is not good because they have hydraulic lift car parking opposite to the hotel and it was very congested, meaning RS Puram is a busy area and it takes time to allocate space for lift parking so we would be traffucked in the middle of the road waiting to just get into the parking spot. They have a small pace for 3-4 cars near entrance but they are allocating that space for only restaurants visitors and owners car parking. Of course valet parking is available but again it’s very difficult to just unload the luggage in the middle of road at busy day hours.
Room I booked had an issue in western toilet, flush was not working at all. We requested for change of room and we were advised that room change was not possible as all other rooms were booked due to some function and plumbers came to room to repair it. It was not helping for about an hours and they were continuously trying to repair and after calling the receptionist continuously for like 5 times, they gave a room in second floor to just refresh myself. I was in a hurry to head out for a function so I moved quickly from 4th floor to second floor to get refreshed and headed out by late evening. Told the receptionist clearly that I would be needing another room if the issue was not sorted out by the time I would return. Graciously, issue was sorted out when I returned back at night. Apart from this one issue the room was very good in terms of cleanliness, bedding, lighting, TV, etc.
Must say that the lunch and breakfast I had at Anapoorna restaurant in the ground floor was very delicious and good. Bit crowded as they are very famous in Coimbatore, but I sneaked in saying I’m staying in their hotel.
Better to head down and have food at their restaurant, if you are ordering from room it’s costly meaning the tea would cost ₹100 plus when ordered from room, whereas if you go down at their restaurant and have the same tea it would be less than ₹30.
Cost for one day with food is 4K, can pay at the time of vacating the room. I would advise to do phone booking and block the room for room reservations.
It is a great place to stay if you would like to be in the centre of city and if you are a vegetarian food lover. Brooke fields mall is just 15 mins away...
Read moreKove Restaurant has long been a cherished spot for its exceptional food and drinks, drawing in patrons with its eclectic menu and impressive selection of beverages. The establishment has a reputation for offering dishes that are crafted with care, combining flavors in a way that delights the palate and leaves diners eagerly anticipating their next visit. Similarly, the drink selection is commendable, featuring everything from classic cocktails to innovative creations, all of which are prepared with a keen attention to detail and quality ingredients.
However, it's worth noting that in recent times, there has been a noticeable inconsistency in the taste and presentation of both food and drinks. Where once each dish and drink served was a testament to the restaurant's high standards and culinary expertise, of late, some offerings seem to fall short of the mark. This inconsistency can detract from the dining experience, leaving patrons wondering about the cause of the fluctuation in quality.
It's crucial for Kove Restaurant to address these inconsistencies to maintain its esteemed reputation. The culinary world thrives on consistency, and regulars as well as new guests expect the same high quality with every visit. Ensuring that each dish and drink served meets the restaurant's historically high standards is essential for sustaining customer satisfaction and loyalty.
In conclusion, while Kove Restaurant continues to be a go-to for excellent food and drinks, there is a pressing need for the establishment to revisit and reinforce its commitment to consistency in quality. By doing so, Kove can continue to uphold its status as a premier dining destination, ensuring that every guest's experience is as outstanding as it has been...
Read moreI have visited ikon as soon as it was open for public. The legacy backed by sree annapoorna in middle class quality meals canr save ikon as a hotel. It was spic and span and quite spacious. Too much white everywhere doesn't give a friendly vibe.
They might have gone with some pastel colors but not white. Quite expensive but a 5 star stay experience.
Beds are cosy. Decently sized to suit couple with 1 or two kids. Has all amenities. That is a plus.
Room service and the way they treat customers is just inherited for restaurant experience. All hotel staff are smiling genuinely which is a rare sight.
Annapoorna loves customers. From its heart. That is why I can vouch sree annapoorna is the pride of Coimbatore.
But, a big hotel at a prime area in Coimbatore is a risky leap for their business. It wants to catch family, business and tourists. To make it suitable for all needs, it loses its speciality for one. Only in that sense, I feel they are confused.
Kove as a fine dining is also flatly disappointing. Not sure for how long the legacy can hold the new ventures but they definitely have to make its charm work for one target section business or family or tourism.
I pray for them to succeed in this venture as I personally don't want this legacy to have any bad remarks in history. My blood is nearly 70% their coffee.
Only annapoorna continues to give hot water for drinking ever since corono outburst. This very much speaks as how they respect and love their customers.
All the best...
