Worst experience ever.

We ordered birthday cake 3 days in advance and they insisted us to make full payment and only then they will do the delivery and payment was made. It was for 3100, 2 kg.

Just few hours before the delivery time, they called and told us that they received a wrong stencil instead of what we ordered (which was not at all our fault). Even after we told them to reduce charges for that, they told it charges the same. We had to accept it becos we made full payment already.

They had to deliver it by 4 pm. We did not receive any call or update and we had to make a call by 4.15. They casually told us the cake is ready, once the delivery person comes, we will send it through them. When asked the time, they told that we cannot tell the time but they will come and we will send it, which sounded irresponsible. We had the party arranged with NGO children and nearly 50 children were already waiting. We had to make multiple calls to them to find out the cake delivery status.

At last, we received it by 5.30, which was 1-1/2 hrs late and all the kids and our guests were made to wait that much time which caused us so much embarrassment.

Even after we were made to accept a design which we did not like, the stencil came broken which was a huge disappointment. We had to tape it in 2, 3 places and then place it on the cake. The cake which were ordered and the cake what we actually received was nothing close, it was terrible.

We paid separate stencil charges of Rs. 300, separate delivery charges of Rs. 200.

Even the cake tasted very average.

Now we understand why they asked us to make full payment so that we can agree to whatever shabby work they do.

Only because we made the payment and had the celebration arranged, we could not do anything, or else we felt like keeping the cake in front of their shop and come back.

No apologies or any empathy from their side. They were totally irresponsible to the core. 0 customer service or value. It was like we paid them to receive what they wished to send us. I am writing this in detail so that no one else should get such a bad experience.

Our 3000 rupees went of waste. We could have provided those NGO children food instead of wasting on this shop's cake.

Ordered cake for my daughter’s first birthday. They said they will be delivering it by 4-5 pm. During that time, there was no power in our house. So we requested them to deliver it to their store in Kuniamuthur and that we will collect it later. When I called at 5.15 pm to check the status of the delivery to their store so that I can collect it, they said that the delivery van hasn’t started yet. Since the power has resumed in our area, I asked them to deliver it to our house since the delivery van hasn’t started. They said the cake will reach us in an hour which would be 6.15 pm, which was fine as the function was scheduled to start by 7 pm. But then when I called at 7, they said the cake is stuck in traffic(note that this is the store. Every time I had to contact them. They never contacted me even though they said many times that they will check the status and call back. Also the driver did not contact me yet). I started getting restless at the cake still didn’t arrive. Then the driver casually calls at 7.30 pm to ask me the address and says that they are yet to start from Peelamedu, which is at least half an hour away from our house, excluding the traffic congestion. The store wasn’t picking up the call. Another person from delivery team called to state that they driver is waiting for the location to start the delivery(Note that I’ve already shared the location during the booking itself and paid extra amount for the delivery too). The cake arrived at 8 pm only. We had to postpone the celebration by an hour because of their inefficiency and miscommunication. There were people coming from other cities to attend the celebration and we fixed the time as 7 pm so that it will be easy for them to leave after the celebration and dinner. First experience= Worst experience. Ordered 4kg cake for my son's first birthday. Everything about the birthday was perfect except the cake. I totally regret for choosing Cakebee.

Delivery was to be done by 6.30 pm (6 to 7 slot). But it was done at 7.30 pm. The delivery persons were so lethargic while we called them. So we kept the guests waiting for an hour from 6.30 to 7.30 pm. The delivery was a confusion I guess because he came in a OLA taxi. 3.The cake was not smooth at all. The simply coated the cream with not much care. The 'One' candle looked like an old wooden piece and it was broke. They wrote my son's name sideways. Actually they never cared to write it in line with the centre axis of the cake. The taste of their 'signature' triple layer cake was not wow. It was ok. We couldn't distinguish much between the 3 flavours. It dint feel like 4kg.

All that glitters is not gold. For all the review and rating and name and fame, I expected much. much. I'm Too disappointed. The 1 star is for the man at saibaba colony Cakebee who was polite and customer friendly.
