I had a worst experience. This was like my second time visit to this same outlet in Periyar Nagar. Last time when i went with my friend, i asked for ginger tea. It was not available so i got Elachi tea.
I only placed an order for one Elachi tea but they gave me two. When i told the staff i ordered only one, he was like no maam we cant take it back. So i paid for extra tea which i did not ask for. And the Schezwan Maggi tastes like it was made using pickle.
My second visit was this morning, i ordered ginger tea and hazelnut coffee(40 Rs). When i asked whether the hazelnut coffee will be hot or cold..the person who was taking order just kept shaking his head. He did not respond properly.
Later he said ginger tea (30 Rs) is not available, it will take 10 min. I told him i can wait. I paid the bill amount 70 Rs and i sat. From the billing area he asked whether i made the payment, i told him i paid. He said the bill amount is 80 Rs. I told him its 30+40 = 70 Rs. He said i took order for Large Hazelnut coffee, which I didnât ask for. I didnât wanna make an issue so i paid 10 Rs additionally.
This whole time he was on call with someone and did not provide me the bill. When i went and asked for the bill it was mentioned 70 Rs. I told him i paid the bill amount then why did you ask me to make extra 10 Rs. He just smiled and said you can take small bites from here. I told him i donât wanna take anything its better you pay back the 10 Rs. He was like no maâam we canât do that.. after sometime he called someone and gave back 10 Rs.
Then he went out and came back after 15 minutes, no one was there to assist. I almost waited 15-20min for Ginger tea to come. That too he did not bothered to ask whether i got the tea or not, i went and told him i did not get it.
Firstly, the place is not that crowded when i went. So they can stay back and patiently take orders and assist the customers.
Secondly, the staffs donât speak or understand Tamil or English properly. They speak only Hindi. I really donât understand the point in opening an outlet in Tamil Nadu and appointing Hindi speaking staffs everywhere.
The customer service in this outlet is very poor, the staff is not ready to listen. He says something in Hindi which i donât understand. I speak to him in English, which he doesnât understand.
The staff donât have patience to listen and take orders. He will be always in his phone and take his own orders.
He will not provide you with bill unless and until you ask for.
I have never had this pathetic experience in any of the outlets in Chennai. I have visited the outlets in Alwarpet, Anna Nagar, Thirumangalam and Mount Road. The staffs were really friendly, but here its totally a different story.
The only good thing is this outlet is spacious compared to the other places i visited. Other than that, sorry to say.. it completely sucks!
Nothing without a good customer service. Never going back...
Read moreA decent branch slowly becoming worst branch by pathetic operational stuffs and managed by people who doesn't know about ops or store management, or customer experience. First of all, people visit chai kings for both tea and in store experience, but the persons who manage this branch keep the music volume so high like a Club or Pub, why? Are the customers going to dance? Is this a dance floor? You can't even hear what your friend is speaking or can't even hear while ordering items, if asked to reduce the volume, the biller tells to check with 4 guys who are in shop, who look like young thugs (sorry to say this) who control the volume of music, seriously? If this is your quality, I am never going to come again. If you just getting satisfied with sales figures, that's because there is no 24x7 tea shop in this area, so people don't have a choice and bear the loud music and go away in 10 minutes. But this won't be a place to bring in families and slowly your sales figures will come down and you wouldn't know why... Please go for surprise anonymous visits after 11 PM in night. Please hire proper guys as...
Read moreI visit Chai Kings almost every day after my evening stroll, and it has become my little sanctuary - my happy place. The ambience is just perfect, and I always/almost sit in the same seat...and feed on my people-watching habit while sipping on a hot dum chai. The service here is exceptionalânot just from one staff member, but from everyone.
They know how to attend to every request, no matter how small. They are so friendly and get me so well to the point that I once requested water in a large glass along with my chai for two days straight, and now, without even asking, they get me a large glass of water with a bunch of napkins. It's a small detail, but it shows just how well they understand their customers. Itâs a great place to unwind after a long, stressful day at work. Highly...
