Giving two stars only for the taste of some selective foods..
Been a regular visitor to this hotel both Porur and Saligramam branches..
The hospitality in the Saligramam branch fell to the bottom two years ago when the employees changed.. also the persons in the cash counter too..
But that's not the point now..
The Porur branch also is in horrible condition now..
The hand wash area - you can find cleaner ones in the bus stand hotels .. the wash room too..
The unique calm ambience this hotel used to have is gone ..
To my surprise, some waiters and servers were very polite and hospitable.. the reason am mentioning here is that, the Porur branch had the most impolite servers and year back..
Given two stars for service because of the good behaviours of the staff..
Regarding food.. you can surely say they made cost cuts in the food ..
The Pasta with white sauce still tasted very good, but where are the brocolli and olives that made your pasta very unique and qualitative?
The sizzlers .. an average ok ok sizzler and they just filled with left out biriyani for fillers instead of a good rice I guess.. nothing special about the sizzler..
Kubus was harder than before.. after all, kubus is bought for its soft texture ..
Pukhet fish was good as always..
One thing that I totally never understand in most of the hotels is their hesitation to provide mayonnaise sauce.. they know customers love it.. and want more of it.. they can also charge extra if they want.. but why do they always give a bad experience on this?
I didn't ask for extra mayo though..
But we ordered for mayonnaise and it came 10 mins after all the other items.. why give then?
If you want to keep a customer, be generous with the mayonnaise sauce to the one who asks for it.. period.. you can charge more..
Over all..
Copper Kitchen is now a hotel for plan B.. when you got no other options..
There were days when people used to just walk in to Copper Kitchen whenever they needed a good peaceful dinner.. now it's just another hotel..
Will I visit again? - Now they have put me in a position to newer restaurants than try newer dishes with...

Visited Copper Kitchen Porur on 22nd June with friends for a late lunch. While the restaurant has a good name, our overall experience was a bit underwhelming.
🍽️ Food:
The Nenjilumb Soup was decent, but lacked depth in flavor.
Tangdi Kabab (2 Pcs) was well-cooked but the taste didn’t quite justify the premium pricing.
Paneer Butter Masala was creamy, but a bit on the sweeter side and lacked the punch you'd expect.
Garlic Naan and Roti were fresh and soft.
Tender Coconut Falooda was unique and probably the highlight of the meal.
Fresh Lime Juice and Water Bottle were standard.
⌛ Service: The biggest drawback of the visit was the extremely slow service. Despite the restaurant not being very crowded at the time, we had to wait far too long between each item being served. It disrupted the flow of the meal and made the dining experience frustrating.
💰 Pricing: The total bill came to ₹1280, including minimal CGST/SGST. While the pricing is somewhat expected for a family restaurant, the taste and service didn’t quite live up to the cost.
📍 Ambience: The ambience was decent and the place seemed clean. Suitable for small group outings.
👎 Overall Verdict: Average food, slow service, and not the best value for money. This visit didn’t meet expectations, and improvements in staff responsiveness and consistency in taste could make a...
Read moreI went to this place for dinner one night. There was enough space to accommodate more than 30 people downstairs and one more floor is also there for dining so there won't be any space issues when we go for dine-in. It was crowded when I reached the restaurant, but I still got a place to sit and the waiter came to take my orders and got my dishes ready one by one as I wanted. I ordered three dishes:
Cream of chicken soup (1) Mixed noodles Barbeque chicken (half)
All were good and the price was approximately 750 plus tax. This place is good for family dining and coming with friends. The only problem I found in this restaurant is if you happen to go a little late after 10 p.m most of the regular dishes will get over. If you wanted to try their regular dishes like biryani, tandoori chicken, and mutton dishes go a little early to avoid disappointments, other than that I didn't find any issues, the food was also served hot and tasty. I hope this review will be helpful for you before visiting...
