WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! IGNORANT PEOPLE!!
So we are a group of 9 people ( 7 women, and 2 men) where 3 of them are elderly women above 70 years, 2 of them are middle aged women around 45 years. As we finished our visit to Rameshwaram temple, we wanted to have coffee, and went to the Sai Sabari Veg Restaurant.
We just ordered 7 coffees, there is no seating inside for people who are having just coffee, and it’s fine. As there is a big sofa in the reception area, 7 of us sat in the sofa, one of us sat in chair beside reception desk. Now we need just one more chair for the remaining person to sit until we get the coffee.
When we try to grab one chair from inside, they said no, we tried to grad one empty chair beside reception desk, and they said no too. So my brother( 18 years of age) tried to sit on the empty chair beside reception desk, and coffee also came. And meanwhile we were also asking them we just want to sit for the coffee, and they just want us to adjust all of us in the single sofa in reception area. They also imply to us to sit on each other’s lap as we are one group.
HOW CAN WE SIT ON EACH OTHERS LAP WHEN THERE ARE ELDERLY PEOPLE WHO WERE JUST TIRED BECAUSE OF THE EARLY MORNING DARSHAN, AND ALL THE WALKING IN THE TEMPLE.
When my brother sat on the empty chair, and also took the coffee cup. Suddenly there is one guy (worker in restaurant) came onto him implying that he can’t use that chair, when the worker came closer to him, coffee also spilled on the floor, my brother, and rest of us who are vexed at this point from restaurant people behavior are getting up and leaving the restaurant without the coffee.
And then suddenly all of their workers who are around ten guys came and created a ruckus and tried to fight with my brother and some women in our group. This is clearly a not a reasonable way to deal with a customer. Their workers are literally trying to fight with us physically. AND ONE WORKER TRIED TO FORCIBLY PUSH ONE OF MY AUNT TOO
If they would have just let us use one chair from inside, then we can probably sit for 2 mins to drink and go. We are not even hindering their business as 90% of the chairs are empty inside.
We also tried letting them know this is bad customer service, they clearly don’t care, looks like they are very confident that people will come to them since the restaurant is right across the...
Read moreI am sure this won't affect them because they don't care about the ratings or people's feedback. PATHETIC SERVICE AND ATTITUDE !!
We (a group of 8 people including kids) reached there around 3:30 tired and hungry. I asked at the counter beforehand and she said they only have meals which we very happily agreed to. Bought coupons and got seated to be served. How can someone be so evil and bitter from inside while feeding people. Specially if it's your source of income....
Language was a constraint which can be for any outsider or tourist. Rice was over even before we sat and they didn't care to inform us, the ladies serving were making weird faces and talking amongst themselves after we sat down and definitely not happy with the lady at the counter for giving us the coupons.
Being in an unknown territory we just kept mum and waited patiently. Kids were hungry but couldn't help...
They finally got rice, seved just the 2 of us and shamelessly hopped onto the other table...we continued to wait. Then came sambhar and little sabji which was never offered again...as far as I knew meals are supposed to be unlimited. There was rasam, another sabji, Papad, pickle but we never got any of it. One of us even tried helping ourselves because the containers were kept on our table and they very swiftly moved it to another table bickering something.
I still couldn't gather what could have been the reason for this kind of behavior, was it North Vs South (which was quite evident) or Insufficient food....God knows..
All of us just had Rice and Sambhar quietly and left from there thanking our stars that we...
Read moreWe dined at Sabari Restaurant, where the food and ambiance were impressive. The menu offers a diverse range of South Indian, North Indian, and Chinese cuisine. Conveniently located opposite the North Temple Tower, accessibility isn't an issue. However, the major letdown was the subpar service.
Disappointments:
No parking available Servers struggled to understand Tamil Slow and unresponsive service Orders were inconsistent (chutney and pickle requests were ignored or mismanaged)
Despite the tasty food, the poor service overshadowed our experience. Efficient service is crucial; even excellent cuisine can't compensate for it.
Recommendation: Improve service quality to match the food and...
