Extremely Disappointed with the Recent Experience
I had one of the worst food experiences recently at La Festa. I ordered a cheese burst pizza and aglio olio pasta. First of all, aglio olio is typically made with spaghetti, but they served it with penne pasta without informing me in advance. Whatâs even more disappointing is that this dish is part of their new menu, and nowhere on the menu was it mentioned that only penne or macaroni would be used.
To make it worse, the pasta was undercookedâso hard it was barely chewable. When I asked about it, they simply said it would be âdry,â which was not the issue at all.
I informed the staff about the problem, and they agreed to replace it with pink sauce pasta. Unfortunately, that too was a disaster. It was completely bland, flavorless, and once again, the pasta was undercooked and tough to eat.
Now coming to the cheese burst pizzaâI'm shocked they even call it that. The stuffing inside tasted nothing like cheese. It was more like store-bought veg mayo. I had ordered it mainly for my child, and thank goodness she only ate the cheese from the top and left the crust. I honestly shudder to think what could have happened if she had eaten more of it.
I raised my concerns about the pizza too, but the waiter refused to accept the complaint. Shockingly, the owner was sitting right there with headphones on, watching everything, and didnât even bother to ask what was wrong or make any attempt to resolve the issue.
I ended up wasting âš587 on food that was not just disappointing but felt unsafe. Iâve been a loyal customer of La Festa for the past four years and have never had such a terrible experience before. Sadly, it seems like the quality of both food and service has completely...
Read moreAbsolutely brilliant place. Can't believe such a place has opened in Sembakkam of all areas. I was fortunate to discover it yesterday.
The place is very close to the Sembakkam bus stop. With warm lighting, it looks inviting. We enter to find a very clean ambience and comfortable chairs. It's tiny but cozy.
The manager came over and gave us a couple of complimentary ice creams, one of them was guava topped in chilli powder like the real fruit, and then we found out they use actual fruit in their ice cream! It was delicious. We got three ice cream to go.
For starters we got crispy baby corn fingers which they had prepared like fried chicken. Yummy batter that crunches. Would recommend. Main course we went for the Peri Peri Peri pizza, which was on the slightly hot side - which is why I loved it. The pizzas have thin crust and just the right amount of cheese. We also got Pasta Arrabiata that was an explosion of flavor in my mouth, initially I thought it's too hot but then realised it's all the spices creating the illusion. Will definitely recommend it.
Great food, very polite and quick service, fresh vegetables, Ci Gusta ice cream, lovely ambience. What's not to...
