Madras Rasoi Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

A highly named resturant but very very poor service and management. Went with family and had a horrible experience. For each and everything you need to ask and keep on reminding and then keep on asking. Felt as if someone is providing food for free or it's just a self service dine in. The time we entered till the time we get out had to struggle for each and everything. You will have to ask for water, then they will provide, then you need to ask for glass then they will give. Then you need to ask for tissue paper, they will give on count. Now you order your food, the food will come in phases, then you need to ask for katori to serve dal, they will provide, then you need to ask for spoon, they will provide. After having dinner, you will have to go the counter and ask for bill, then they will provide and then you need to pay at the counter. Then finally you get out from there and that too all this without rush in hotel. Taste wise food is ok and good but service wise pathetic. It's better to order online. Did not had pleasant experience...

The place looks good from outside and the ambience also looks good. But I guess the management has to be more people friendly and you guys surely need to improve the quality of your food. Chicke 65 - was good but a little over fried. Garlic Chicken & Lemon Chicken - Literally couldn't find the taste difference between the garlic chicken and the lemon chicken. Both had the same mixture and tasted same. The differentiating factor was the lemon rings in lemon chicken. Thank to that. Biriyani - The chicken biriyani had good colour but lacked all flavours. The masala on the chicken in biriyani tasted like raw chilly powder masala. Porotta and Rumali Rotti - Average And one more suggestion - I do understand that Ooty is a plastic free zone but please do make cloth bags available at a cost so that the people who want to opt take away can be at the ease of carrying their parcels. I literally couldnt carry 4 bundled paper pouches, Finally had to leave the parcels at the counter...

I don't know why this restaurant is kept open for people.. We went there for lunch seeing huge rush thinking that it's one of good restaurants in Ooty... Literally there was noone to serve the food at peak time of 1pm... We got inside and sat on a table.. We could not find a service person except 2 aged ladies who were alternatively cleaning and serving foods.. They kept cleaning the table with their bare hands and served the food with same hands.. We ordered 2 biriyanis and a veg meals.. Biriyani was ready within 5 mins at the food counter and we could see it was kept ready to serve but literally for 15min nobody bothered to take that and serve to us.. Those aged ladies could not cope up with the rush in the restaurant and we saw them bringing us the same biriyani that was kept ready 15 min ago.. And they forgot that we ordered meals and they brought that again after 10 mins.. I asked the cashier guy why have got no person to serve.. He had no answer to that.....
