Nathans Cafe — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Nathans Cafe in Koyambedu seems to be a popular spot due to its convenient location near the bus stand. However, my experience there was far from satisfactory. The food quality was quite disappointing, with absolutely no taste in the chutney and sambar. When visiting a South Indian restaurant, one expects flavorful and authentic dishes, but here, everything felt bland and lacked the freshness that is essential in traditional cuisine.

Another major downside was the cost. The prices were much higher compared to other restaurants offering similar food in the area. When paying a premium price, customers naturally expect a certain level of taste and quality, but Nathans Cafe fails to deliver on both fronts.

Additionally, the restaurant follows a self-service model, which further adds to the inconvenience. With such high pricing, a proper dining experience with table service would have been appreciated. Instead, customers are expected to serve themselves, making it feel less like a restaurant and more like a canteen.

Overall, my visit to Nathans Cafe was very disappointing. Poor food quality, lack of taste, high prices, and an inconvenient service system made it a bad experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good South Indian food in Koyambedu. There are certainly better options...

Had a very disappointing experience earlier this month at what used to be my go-to spot before catching a bus from CMBT. I had gone there with a group of close friends I was meeting after ages, hoping for a relaxed dinner and good memories.

While the food was decent, the service was absolutely unacceptable. The owner was rude and disrespectful — in the middle of our dinner, while we were still eating and having our coffee, he just walked in and switched off the AC and fan inside the so-called AC dining room.

It completely ruined the mood and the experience. This kind of behavior shows zero regard for customers.

Never going back. 0 stars if I could — 1 star it is. Please teach your staff how to treat...

Food qty is very less but price is too high. Plate are not cleaned properly. When i inform the issue about to server. They are telling it is not a big problem. Also we have to pay the bill before eating. But due to improper cleaning we cant get back money . Very worst experience i had yesterday.

I had break fast few month before. At tha time everything was good.
