Salem RR Biriyani : Extremely Disappointing Experience - Stay Away!
Today (30th Jun'23) , I had ordered two Chicken Biryani for Takeaway from Salem RR Biryani in Pallikaranai, and I must say it was the worst Biryani I have ever had in my entire life. The food not only fell short of my expectations but also failed to resemble Biryani in any way.
Firstly, the rice was overcooked and lacked the distinct aroma and flavor that are characteristic of a well-made Biryani. It was mushy and lacked any texture or individual grain separation. The quality of the rice was extremely poor, leaving a lot to be desired.
The chicken pieces were equally disappointing. They looked and tasted as if they had been simply boiled without any marination or flavoring. There was no tenderness or juiciness to the meat, and it felt like an afterthought rather than an integral part of the dish.
What disappointed me the most was the complete absence of any authentic Biriyani taste. The flavors were bland, and the dish lacked the rich blend of spices and fragrant aroma that make Biryani so special. It was as if someone had thrown together random ingredients without any understanding of how to make a good Biryani.
Overall, my experience with Salem RR Biryani was extremely underwhelming, and I would strongly advise others to stay away from it. The quality of the Biryani was subpar, with overcooked rice, tasteless chicken, and a complete absence of authentic flavors. I regret spending my money on such a disappointing meal and will certainly not be returning.
I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for Salem RR Biryani, urging them to improve their quality and deliver on their promise of a delicious Biryani experience else they can give a different name to their rather than calling it...
Read moreI had a terrible experience at Selam RR Biryani, opposite Jayachandran Stores in Pallikarnai. Usually, hotels keep the places where customers sit clean, even if the kitchen is not visible. But here, both the seating area and the kitchen were in a horrible state. The seating area was dirty, and the preparation area was completely visible. It looked like a dirty black toilet with tiles covered in tar. There were bundles of dirty cloth lying around, food items like eggs and vegetables kept on the floor, and the workers’ toilet was open and visible. The toilet was in such bad condition that it was hard to even look at.
The workers wore red uniforms that looked like they worked in a garage, not a hotel. On top of that, spiders and insects were falling into the food. It was already 10 o’clock at night, and we had no other option for dinner. We were the only customers there, and they served the food in seconds, which made us suspicious. But by then, it was too late. If we had seen all this dirt and unhygienic conditions earlier, we would have just left without eating. But once they served the food, we had no other choice but to pay and eat it.
The chicken biryani was pathetic, and they charged 220 rupees for it. Today, I ended up with a stomach upset because of that food. This place completely ruined my Saturday night. I felt so sad and disappointed that what should have been a nice evening turned into this horrible experience. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Avoid it if you care about...
Read moreI am writing to provide feedback on my recent experience with your Medavakkam branch (opposite Jayachandran). While I have heard positive remarks about your establishment, I regret to inform you that my experience was not in line with expectations, and I believe there are areas that require attention for improving the overall quality and hygiene standards.
Incorrect Order Fulfillment:
I had ordered Chicken Biryani through the Zomato app, but the delivered item was a plain biryani without any chicken pieces. Despite reaching out to both Zomato and the restaurant, I have not received a satisfactory response or resolution to this issue.
Hygiene Concerns:
I observed that the restaurant staff were not wearing disposable kitchen caps or gloves while preparing and packing food, which raises concerns about food safety and hygiene.
Additionally, the cleanliness of the restaurant was below acceptable standards. The surfaces and surroundings appeared unhygienic, which further compounded my concerns. I noticed that after cleaning the tables, staff were packing food without washing their hands, which is a significant lapse in hygiene practices.
I am sharing this feedback not as a complaint, but in the hope that it will lead to improvements in the service and hygiene protocols at your Medavakkam branch. I genuinely believe that with some attention to these areas, your establishment can provide a much better experience...
