Perfect place for team lunch or dinner if you are looking for a decent one within city centre.
I had veg buffet starters were served with plate filled by the servers. But they refill items any no of times .. paneer n mushroom were good in starters.
Main course - had all continental chinese north Indian and veg biriyani . I tried chinese - Veg tofu fried rice with vegetable sausage gravy ( ultimate ) White sauce Pasta was good . Naan items were served on the table .
Try their curd vada n boondhi .
Desserts section - I would suggest try that Paruppu payasam with kiwi 🥝 pudding . Top notch like the chef says .
They had small pieces of mysore pa n cakes which was good 👍🏽.
Finally ice cream - mixed of mango n chocolate flavours I had which was nice with a pinch of jelly syrup 😀.
Since it was a corporate lunch on a week day we spent only lil time there ..
Only thing that could be improved was the atmosphere with dim lighting and interiors felt pretty old n compact for the class they are.
Otherwise a must visit...
Read moreVisited lunch buffet on Saturday. Not a great spread but what's expected is good food and good quality. Both are lacking. The food didnt feel fresh.
Soup : Served vazhaidthandu saru. It tasted good but spicy.
Starters : Spicyyyy. They served mushroom, Paneer , Veg roll and masala vada. Except vada, rest were really spicy and the marination was very raw.
Mains : Very average. Only 3-4 items were good like sepakilnagu roast, Poondu kuzhambu, idiyappam and Thai Green curry which tasted fine but artificial green color added. Briyani, Pulao , Curd vada etc...were really bland.
Desserts : Minimal options and kheer had a hair in it. When pointed out, they brought a new one. Still thats not expected in a 5 star restaurant. No eggless cake available.
More than anything after having food there, my kid got food poisoning and suffering a lot. Really not worth the money spent. Not a great ambience too. I wonder how...
Read moreLocated in the ground floor of Hablis Hotel in Guindy. Small slightly old themed restaurant. Tested their dinner buffet spread. Starters are limited (04 Veg and Non-veg each). Main course and dessert section are extensive in comparison. Tastewise starters are ok. But main course is very good and every dish has got different texture and taste. Dessert is equally good and the point worth mentioning is that none of the items are on the much sweeter side. Staffs are courteous. Service is quick. But still rated 03 out of 05 because it's damn expensive and I've noted cockroach nuisance in the dessert spread area, which is not sign of good hygiene. Paying this much for this buffet spread will disturb you a bit. Final verdict- can be given a chance only if in bucket list,...
