We went here for a corporate dinner (so no alcohol) and requested to arrange it on the rooftop. The ambience was really good but the lights were very dim to even look in the menu, but the good thing was no other groups were present at that moment. There was no soup on the menu but they arranged as per our request and that was really very good (4/5)
Starters: Crispy corn: 3/5 Jalapeno cheese balls: I have had better cheese balls in other restaurants so would rate this much. (2/5) Mushroom pepper fry: I personally didn't like it, but others were fine with it. (3/5) Gobi 65: 4/5 Peri peri fries: Quantity was good (4.5/5) We also ordered cheese garlic bread but they ran out of garlic bread.
The Virgin Pinacolada was nice and refreshing.
Fruit salad: They had only apples, pineapples and watermelons in it. It was the second best item which I had here. Because it was normal freshly cut fruits.
Veg fried rice which was average in taste.
Coming to dessert: (limited options) We ordered ice cream, first they mentioned that they have only vanilla flavour but then they informed us that they ran out of that as well. Big disappointment. Baked cheese cake was very different here but it was worth a try. They don't serve sizzling brownies. They offered a new dessert which they were experimenting with and gave us kunafa (spelled as knafeh) which was not bad in taste but was average.
Overall I rated 3 stars only because of the ambience because the food here...
Read moreI recently visited this restobar, and overall, it was a decent experience. The ambience stood out right away — it has a nice vibe, not too loud, and feels quite relaxed. The lighting and decor are pleasant, and it’s the kind of place where you can sit for hours, either with friends or even alone. There’s also a snooker table, which adds a fun element if you’re looking to do more than just eat and drink. It’s a nice touch for those who enjoy a casual game while hanging out.
When it comes to food and drinks, the pricing is quite reasonable. Nothing on the menu feels overpriced, which is a plus if you’re visiting with a group. The food itself was just okay — not bad, but not something I’d rave about either. Some dishes lacked flavor and could definitely be improved.
The cocktails, though nicely presented, were a bit too sweet for my liking. A little less sugar or syrup would have made them more balanced. If you prefer strong or classic cocktails, you might want to mention that while ordering.
Overall, it’s a good place to chill, especially for a laid-back evening with some games and...
Read moreAlcove Bar seems to be an underrated gem that hasn't been explored much. I visited on a Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised to find the bar almost empty, providing a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The DJ greeted us with some sizzling Tamil songs, setting the perfect vibe for the night.
We ended up taking a 6-seater for just the two of us, which added to the comfort and spacious feel of the evening. The ambience is truly impressive, creating a great mood and feel for a leisurely evening out.
The pricing at Alcove Bar is quite reasonable, and they even had some attractive offers. My friend sampled a few drinks, while I opted for an appetizer. The taste was fantastic and didn't disappoint at all.
Throughout the evening, the DJ kept our energy levels high with great music, enhancing the overall experience.
Overall, it was a peaceful and enjoyable night with fewer crowds, making it an excellent spot for a relaxed Friday night.
