Found this by chance while googling for good restaurants in Tiruppur. Despite the great reviews it doesn't come up in the top restaurants search, which is a shame because the food here is excellent. We went on a Saturday night and it was crowded. Actually there aren't many tables to serve and the patrons just kept pouring in. Lot of repeat customers I noticed. The service is quick and pleasant. They even suggested the gravy which turned out to be fabulous(mili jhuli sabzi). They serve complimentary Jaljeera and onion-lemon which is authentic of North Indian restaurants. We ordered the following, all of which were good. Cigar rolls - spring rolls served in style Chettinad pepper soup( they were out of palak soup that day) Cheese chilli kumbh Garlic naan, garlic tandoori roti and Missi roti Mili jhuli sabzi - two different flavours of sabzi served side by side so you get to taste both! The washroom is clean and there's ample parking. The only negatives are that the smoke from kitchen was filled in the small room and many of the customers were coughing and sneezing. Not a good dining experience. I'm assuming it's a one off incident and doesn't happen regularly. The one thing they need to fix is the door. Everytime after someone walks in or out, the door bangs shut. Due to the crowd that day this noise was really irritating. I'm sure that can be fixed easily. Overall, definitely...
Read moreWent in with friends and family on a Thursday night 9pm when our first choice of restaurant ended up being closed at 9! Started the evening on the wrong note but this restaurant compensated for it better and beyond.
Had my doubts at first when I received a tattered menu! Conservatively ordered a few dishes to check if the food is as bad as how they maintained their menu cards and it clearly wasn’t! We were greeted with a jaljeera like welcome drink.
We ended up having a green night ordering something hariyali with our soup and starters. Palak garlic soup at ₹105- good, a little bit less of whatever thickening agent and it’d have won me better. Palak sticks @₹259- didn’t understand what was breaded and crisped up and served with Palak sauce, but it tasted nice! The bullet naan with all the sesame @₹80 was good. The malai paneer tikka @₹259 was nice too. The buttermilk @₹60 was yummy too. All slightly on the costlier side and would’ve been justified if the property was better maintained.
The restaurant is all vegetarian and it had good options available to order from. The ambiance felt built nicely but poorly maintained, just like its menu.
The service was warm. It’d have been an excellent experience if either the pricing matched the upkeep or the upkeep matched...
