Overview: the food tasted average, was okay priced for millets, the atmsophere was okayish but the services was really bad. We visited Aarambam at around 6 pm. We were ready to order but were made to wait till the person could find his pen to take the order. Order was for multigrain dosa, multigrain masala dosa, podi idli and millet gongura rice. Now the food came but there was no sambar. In my entire life I have never seen idli and dosa served without sambar in any restaurant, even in other countries. So we asked for sambar and then we were given one cup of sambar after a minute. Then we had to ask again for two more sambar for the other idli and dosa and that again took forever, and we had to ask three times. Then we suggested that they can serve the sambar along with the food. But the waiter told us that they don't server sambar because customers wait sambar. And they only give sambar if someone asks for it with their order. This is strange, but ok, they want to prevent waste, that's a good thing. But if that's the case why serve so much chutney with the food. We actually ended up eating the sambar and leaving the chutney because we didn't like the chutney. If they are trying to prevent waste then they should also not serve chutney unless customer asks for it. Then we suggested that they can ask at the time of taking the order if the customer wants sambar with their idli/dosa so that it can be served with the food. To which the waiter replied that they can't do that because they don't know what the customer will order. I really failed to understand the logic. Most of their food is idli and dosa. So they can't ask the customer if they want sambar? on top of this the waiter was not polite at all. When we initially asked for sambar a second time he replied rather impolitely that we have to wait for spoons and sambar to be ready before he can give us sambar. So we have to basically have our food before us, then ask for sambar and then wait another 5 minutes while the food goes cold before we can get sambar. And all this when we were the only customers at 6 pm. There were two other customers but they were still looking at their menus at this point. So it's not like either the cooks or the waiter was super busy. By the way, the waiter is also the same person who does the billing. So if he goes out to place a tea or coffee order there is no one to make...
Read moreI went here 1 year back and the food and service was extremely good So I recommended the place to a few friends and went again 1-2 times. The ambience was nice and peaceful and the food tasted homely not very spicy but this year (3rd time) the staff had changed and the experience was horrible every time. Once the food took sooo long to come and we were the only ones in the restaurant and the food was cold too when we tried calling them the waiters and manager didnt respond just kept saying 5 mins for 30 mins straight and had to cancel everything we ordered because nothing was being served. The next time we went the food was extremely cold even the dosa and sambar, masala dosa had very less filling so we ordered kichidi even that was cold when we told the waiter she held the cup and said no its hot.. when it was not. like what service is this and the food was tastless and there was even a small bug on the plate. The waiters didnt seem to care how many ever times we tried to place an order. I had reviewed this place 5 stars the first time i went, really enjoyed the taste and vibe but it all together just degraded over time. The servers were just serving filter coffee to the ppl who came much later but were completely ignoring our order even tho...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Aarambham, and I must say, it was a truly exceptional experience! This restaurant is a hidden gem, serving delicious and nutritious millet-based dishes that cater to a healthy lifestyle.
The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a serene atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The decor was tasteful and elegant, with a clear emphasis on promoting a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
But what truly stole the show was the food! Each dish was carefully crafted to showcase the versatility and nutritional benefits of millets. From the flavorful millet biryani to the decadent millet-based desserts, every bite was a testament to the chef's skill and creativity.
I highly recommend Aarambham to anyone looking for a healthy and delicious dining experience. The prices are reasonable, the service is top-notch, and the overall experience is truly unforgettable.
