Went to the newest place in town - Jamming Goat 3.0 Hyderabad . Very modern settings, the place looks awesome.
Ordered the following dishes: Mocktails: Coconut Love etc Italian Stab Moo Juice Tropical Candy
Starters: Cheese Stuffed Gnocchi, Herb Butter Sauce Prawn Pepper Fry, Curd Rice Foam Mutton Seekh Kabab, Masala Onion Chicken Picante, Pickled Onion Ring Pizza
Main Course: Shrimp Linguine Pasta, Chorizo Crumb Thai Green Curry, Jasmine Rice, Add On: Chicken
Desserts: Cheesy Kunafa, Pista Ice Cream Reconstructed Serradura, Seasonal Fruits (Complimentary)
First the positives, all the food items tasted really good, which was really encouraging. The servers were responding very promptly with a smile. The vibe of the place was awesome and the decor was top notch. Both the main course items were superb and the quantity was perfect. The desserts were decent, the Kunafa was good, the Serradura was really good and different, I havent had such a thing in the past. It was Complimentary, maybe an inaugural offer.
Now coming to the not so good parts - Twice during our dining time, they forgot the ordered items. The place was not even close to being full, but the food took a long time to come out of the kitchen, I can understand the front end guys are new, but I am assuming that any new place would hire kitchen staff with solid experience, so the TAT for food was disappointing. Moreover the portion size of the starters were really small, except the pizza. Now coming to the worst part, the mocktails. They were not good at all, tasted weird, except the Coconut Love, not sure if they were trying to replicate the cocktail taste in the mocktails or not, but they were, in one word, for us, horrendous.
The total bill was 5.4k for 4 of us.
Overall, a decent experience. Will I go back to the place? Not sure at this point, will wait and look at the feedback, before I...
Read moreThis weekend out was to Jamming Goat 3.0. They have branches in Goa and Bangalore. I booked a table, through Zomato, for lunch on Sunday. They called me to tell me that they don't have ala carte menu for Sunday but they have a fixed brunch menu. The lady who called shared the menu and we decided to go ahead. When we entered at 1 pm, the place was not full. The interiors were well done up. Lots of space. They had outdoor seating also. But because it was so hot yesterday we chose to sit inside. There were Live counters outside and some appetizers were served to the table. We could select with and without alcohol. We chose 3 mocktail menus and 1 cocktail menu. The mocktails and cocktail were good Live Counters Chat - Bombay bhel/Pani puri/raw mango gol gappa/channa chaat Pasta Nachos - veg and chicken Thukpa - veg and chicken Churros
We tasted Raw mango go gappa - it was perfect - 4*/5 Bombay bhel - it was dry and spicy - 2/5 Nachos - Chicken nachos - 3.5/5, veg Nachos -2.4/5 Thukpa - wasn't a fan - 2/5 Served at table Pepper prawns - 3.5/5 Tangra chilli chicken - 3.5/5 Friend chicken -3/5 Mutton sukka - 4/5 Pudina fish - 4/5 Charcoaled Mushroom balls - 3/5 Potato cheese poppers - 2.5/5 Crispy broccoli poppers - 4.5/5 Beetroot chops - 3/5 Crispy corn -3/5 Mini pizzas - veg - 4/5 Chicken - 4/5 Awadhi mutton Biryani - 4/5 Chicken lababdhar - 3.5/5 Curd rice - 4/5 Churros - 4.5/5 Fruit custard - 3.5/5 Kesar phirni - 3.5/5
The portions were perfect. Just one piece per person. So we could taste everything and if we wanted more they got repeats. It is a place I would go again. Overall Food - 3.5/5 Service - 4/5 Ambience - 3/5 ( cutting points for the loud music, there was Live music with a singer but it was...
Read moreAfter the success and acclaim in Goa and Bengaluru, Jamming Goat is now in Hyderabad - interestingly, in the upcoming Kokapet area (and not the usual Jubilee/Hitech). And it lived up to the billing!
The Kokapet Terminal building is still a work in progress and a bit unkept, but the vibe changes completely once you step into the 5th floor. The place is expansive, with ample space both inside and outside, and tastefully done up. The staff is immediately at your service, buzzing around all the while to assist with your food and drinks choices. And when the music volume was suddenly jacked up, they heeded our request to moderate it down which we really appreciated (unlike other resto-bars in the city).
Cocktails are the USP of the place, with a wide range of signature options to choose from. We tried a bunch of them, and were not disappointed - Perspective, Not A Picante and Uncle Chakroo definitely stood out. And the food was equally good. The menu is eclectic with a mix of traditional and fusion items, and all the dishes we ordered hit the mark. The highlights being anardana pork belly, prawn with curd rice foam, beetroot chop and beef galauti sliders.
Finally, chops to the DJ who was in top form with his playlist of techno and pop numbers. The dance floor is well spread out, and we closed out a satisfactory evening there grooving to the music.
JG 3.0 is a wonderful addition to the city, and we will keep coming...
